"Good location to explore Liverpool"
This hotel is well located for the city centre, shopping and attractions. Liverpool is a very walkable city. Parking is available at the QPark next door, although is very expensive even with the discount coude offered by PI. I parked at the Mount Pleasant Multi-Story about 8 minutes walk away for £6 for 24 hours (card pay at exit barrier). The hotel is above shops and next to a large Tesco. Although the windows are double glazed there is inevitably some street noise, cars and people, that goes on in to the early hours if your room is front facing. I had a Premier Plus room this time which I don't usually go for but it was all that was left. These are on the top floor, which lifts you above the noise a bit more and we could see the top of the Liver building from our window. Room and bathroom clean and well stocked.
"Never again!"
I have always been a loyal Premier Inn guest it’s always been my first choice whenever I travel to the UK or any city where a PI hotel exists. I’ve always trusted the brand for its great value and convenient locations. Unfortunately, my recent trip to the UK was nothing short of a huge disappointment, and it has completely changed my perception of Premier Inn. I booked all my 10 nights with Premier Inn between Liverpool and the Lake District, as I usually do well in advance to secure the best possible rate. This time, however, I was shocked to see that prices dropped dramatically closer to my arrival date, costing me around £94 more than what I should have paid. When I reached out to the team, it took them two whole weeks to respond only to send a cold, standard reply saying “no” and blaming it on fluctuating rates. This isn’t “dynamic pricing” it’s poor revenue management, and frankly, it’s unacceptable to make loyal customers pay the price for it. When I arrived at the hotel, things only got worse. The entrance was dirty with sticky floors and visible stains, the corridor carpets were filthy and smelled terrible, and the room carpet and bathroom floor were no better. I tried the breakfast on my first morning but gave up after that the croissants were cold, the coffee was awful, and the overall quality was disappointing. I even reached out via social media privet message, hoping someone would care enough to respond but no one did. Since my remaining nights were already prepaid, I had no option but to continue my stay. When I returned for my last two nights, nothing had improved. I checked into a room without towels or a bath mat. At that point, I didn’t even bother complaining I just decided to share my honest experience publicly. It’s truly disheartening to see how a brand I once trusted without hesitation has let its standards drop this low. After this experience, I can confidently say that I will not be staying with Premier Inn again
"Disappointing Liverpool One Experience"
Having stopped using most Premier Inn's, finding them not much cheaper now than other better hotels, we found this one in Liverpool to be a great price for a prem plus room and decided to book. Initial Impressions - the entry to the hotel is awful. It's soulless and lifeless and you'd be forgiven for thinking you were walking into a derelict building. There's no reception (which is on the 2nd floor) just a big empty space. When getting to the reception, there is no desk with a team member to welcome you, instead there are 3 computer screens to book in with. There were staff about though none of them were booking people in. i like to be made to feel welcome and I did not get one from a computer screen. I was also not able to book in for breakfast or ask if we could buy in the morning if we so choose. The room was lovely. I proper Premier Plus room with walk in shower and not a bath in sight. The bed was comfy and the window opened as well as being airconditioned if you wanted that. Mush to our surprise we found one of the bottle of water had been opened in the fridge and half of it drunk! Our sleep was good. We didn't have breakfast in the morning (we went elsewhere) or report the half drunk bottle of water, as there was no one in the reception area. So good things - The location, the room and great sleep. Not so good - awful entry area, awful lifeless check in experience, and half drunk bottle of water. We won't be staying here again.
"Fantastic location"
Fantastic location, right across the street from Liverpool One shopping district, with Bold Street’s great restaurants just a 5 minute walk away. All the major landmarks are within 15 minutes on foot, and there’s even a Tesco right next door for convenience. We stayed in a family room (one double bed and two single beds) ,very spacious and comfortable. When we pushed the three beds together, it felt like a huge bed with lots of room. The room and bathroom were clean and simple, just as expected from Premier Inn. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room perfectly cool for a great night’s sleep. The only minor downside was a bit of noise from cooling units outside the window, but it wasn’t too bad. Parking is easy, there’s a large, secure five level Qpark next to the hotel (£25 per 24 hours). You scan your ticket to enter and exit, which feels safe and convenient.
"Whats happened to Premier Inn?"
Was asked to pay a £15 charge for checking in 15 minutes earlier than 3pm which we refused and had to come back. When we got to the room, it was only a double bed not the standard King Size?
