"Memory Lane"
I’ve had a deep and personal connection to this hotel for over two decades, and I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and reflect on its journey. Prior to being known as Holiday Inn Leicester West, I remember it as *Post House Forte*—a name it held pre-2001. From 2001 to 2005, it operated as Holiday Inn Leicester West, and in 2006 it officially became Premier Inn. My first visit was in *August 2003*, staying for a whole month with my family. We were in rooms *236, 238, and 305*—a memory that still feels close to my heart. Nine years later, in *November 2012*, I returned with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday in *room 343*. A month later, in *December 2012*, she surprised me by booking the same hotel. room 330 for my birthday. We continued the tradition in *November 2013*, and again in *November 2017*, each time staying in that same special room—343. And finally, on *15th May 2025*, my ex-girlfriend and I returned to room 343 one last time, to say goodbye to the place that held so many memories for us. It was a quiet, meaningful closure, both for the hotel and for the chapter we shared there. I want to personally thank all the wonderful staff who made every stay feel like coming home: - Elaine, - Sophie (the chef), - Courtney, - Jason, - Monica, - Donna, - Emma - Alex - Liam ( 2012 ) - Becki ( 2016 ) - Adrian ( 2003 ) - Manager, - and to all the current team that work there. A heartfelt thank you as well to the former/past staff members—Late Ancent, who we first met in 2003, Adrian, and the many others who made this place so warm and welcoming over the years. For 24 years, this hotel provided more than just a place to sleep. It gave comfort, consistency, and the feeling of home. It never felt commercialized or cold—it was *homely*, in the best possible way. Sad to see the place go... but life goes on... Thank you for everything, All the best Krish Dhiman
"All good as usual"
Excellent as always, easy booking, seamless check-in, good room and good facilities, bar and restaurant. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff easy going and professional. This is my third stay here, and have never been disappointed
"Smelly toilets"
The link between reception and rooms lets the hotel down. Mens toilets just off reception STINK. Think rugby stadium after a match. Not good enough for the prices you charge. Offering free WiFi that's terrible, and charging an extra £5 for WiFi you can actually use is taking advantage of your customers.
"End of an era"
Well what a shame the premier Inn have decided to sell up to Aldi. It is about the 4th or fifth time we have stayed here and haven't had a bad experience. It is located just out of the city centre and Fosse Park shopping centre; The place is always busy so why they couldn't find the money to upgrade the rooms is beyond beggars belief. Staff are always pleasant and will help you where they can; the room is typical Premier Inn and I for one will disagree with everyone who put a bad review in. A crying shame to lose the place
"Very disappointing and far below acceptable standards"
The only positive about this stay were the friendly ! The room on this visit was grim, the bathroom was full of black mould, the sink plug hole was filthy if you lifted the plug out. The soap dispensers were disgustingly dirty. The fan was dirty and the wiring faulty so I couldn’t leave it on. House keeping manager you really need to be checking! I won’t be returning.
