We booked in Tuesday pm and were staying two nights leaving Thursday morning. We asked for disabled room so the wife would be able to use the wet room shower and this was ready for us. When we arrived the bathroom sliding door would not shut and was catching on the carpet. After we had a shower I discovered the reason why. The water from the shower was not going down the plug hole and it had spread to the door so it was wetting the carpet which had caused it to swell. Chris the young lad on duty came up and mopped the floor dry and promised to have it addressed the next day. When we went down for breakfast I asked at reception what the was going to be done. The lady who appeared to be in charge said she didn’t think it was that important an issue, told me they has no maintenance on the Wednesday and did we really need a wet room. I said we did and was told they’d sort something out. We returned Wednesday evening and they had obviously cleaned the shower plug hole so the water ran away correctly but bathroom door still couldn’t be moved. As we were packing to leave my wife stubbed her toe on the bar which linked the two beds together, one side was undone and the screw was missing. (See photo) Last time we stayed at this place I was really pleased, this time disappointed. Firstly : You could see by the water stain on the wet room floor that it had been overflowing for some time, so why had it not been fixed before, I cannot believe no one had reported it before. That means they deliberately put us in a faulty room. Secondly : There is no way the person making the bed could not have seen the missing bolt. I checked under the bed and it was definitely not there…. I suppose I should be happy that the beds didn’t come apart in the night and dump us on the floor. I’m hoping next time we come back things will be different otherwise we’ll have to look further afield.
"A reliable hotel stay with comfortable, friendly and well cared for clean rooms."
You know what to expect from a Premier Inn and it didn't disappoint! Good clean room, large comfy bed, nice bathroom what more can you ask?
"Noisy side effect f hotel"
This premier inn is slightly dated and rough around the edges but as usual very comfortable bed and decent shower Our room (no20 ) backed on to some kind of lorry park which we could hear loading up and then noisy engines driving off which was very disappointing as we would of liked window open as it was a warm night.
"Nice"
It was decent. The rooms were clean, shower and toilets worked well and it had an okay atmosphere. The only issue was staff were not great. Some of them were rude but some quite nice. The restaurants food was okay in the morning however of an evening, the dinners could have been better.
"Could do so much better"
My recent stay at the Premier Inn Hinckley offered a mixed experience. On the positive side, the bed was impeccably clean and remarkably comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. The towels in the bathroom were also fresh and of good quality. However, the room itself was unfortunately in significant need of attention. It was clear that a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint are long overdue. The walls were noticeably stained, and the carpet had a distinct grubby appearance. In the bathroom, the venting was heavily clogged with dust, and there were unwelcome marks in the toilet (and two hairs) and around the sink. Furthermore, the bedside arrangements were somewhat makeshift; I had one standard bedside table and another footstool attempting to serve the same purpose, with its laminate peeling off. While the fundamental comfort of the bed and cleanliness of the linens met Premier Inn's usual standards, the overall tired state of the room detracted from the experience. With some investment in a thorough clean and refurbishment, this Premier Inn could significantly improve its offering.
