"Disappointing"
Stayed for 6 nights on Bed and Breakfast. The breakfast was hit and miss although the porridge was cooked to perfection. The coffee machine kept running out of milk and although the staff were pleasant, there was a serious lack of staff for the whole time we were there. The rooms felt a little claustrophobic as windows couldn't be opened. The shower kept leaking and the TV remote was unpredictable. Overall, the atmosphere was completely soulless and the reception/bar area felt more like a train station than a hotel.
"Perfect short stay on a budget"
We love staying at Premier Inns because so far every one we have stayed in has had very friendly staff and quiet comfortable rooms for a very reasonable price. We stayed during my eldest daughter's birthday who happened to mention it was her birthday the next day. During breakfast the following morning we were greeted with a wonderfully decorated table, the staff had made a lovely gesture for her. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next stay.
"Great stay"
Still here, onto the 3rd night with 1 more to go, staff are all friendly, polite and helpful, they multi task and always busy but still have time for guests, answered all queries/requests straight away. The hotel is clean and tidy, rooms are OK size , nice shower with body wash and hand wash supplied, no mini fridge and could do with a bit more storage if staying for a few nights, very comfy beds and aircon too. Tina B the cleaner is lovely, had a good chat and a laugh with her. The last 3 night we have ate in the restaurant, had different meals each night and desserts , they were all lovely, long wait sometimes if its busy but that's OK as staff never stop and it's relaxed and nice to chat while we wait, breakfast is good too. We were on the reception side and it's quiet , there are shops nearby and bus stops are near the hotel so location is good .
"Very disappointing"
We have used this hotel on numerous occasions, but this time I was very disappointed. The cleanliness of the lift area and corridors was appauling. I was even discusted at the state of the plates in the breakfast area. Added to the fact, that you have to pay for parking - which is new. And the rooms aren't cleaned unless you ask for it. I think Premier Inn has really gone down hill.
"Victorious stay !"
The staff were great I think her name in paticular was Trish or Tina on arrival was very welcoming and I think her name was Holly she was very informative about where bus stops were for the pick up and drop off for the victorious festival 2025 the room was perfect on lower floor as my mother has a phobia of going in lifts and movement is not the best .. the location is great near Many supermarkets / resturants the staff were happy to help any time of the day , I will 100% return to this hotel a pleasure to stay there

Premier Inn Hotel Portsmouth Port Solent is set in the navy heartland of Portsmouth, close to the A27. We're handy for business and pleasure, with some top attractions just a short journey away. Whether you're visiting the Mary Rose Museum, or watching yacht racing, the sea is never far away in Port Solent. Goodwood Festival of Speed is well worth a visit every June, and we're the perfect place to stay if you're catching a ferry too. Before you set sail, enjoy a tasty meal in our restaurant and an extra-comfy bed in your room. Just to let you know, our rooms have showers rather than baths.
