"Amazing staff"
Always such a pleasure to stay here staff are so friendly even when under pressure due to staffing issues Martha and Leah are the true leaders always so polite and greet you with such an amazing smile, if a question is asked about local amenities or places to eat out or to visit their local knowledge is second to none Russel in the restaurant always so informative and polite. Would throughly recommend this hotel👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
"Comfortable nnight's sleep"
On the way to Chatsworth house, we stayed a night at this very reasonable and decent Premier Inn. Lovely staff were helpful with our late night arrival. Free parking, but parking lot does fill up if you’re coming in late. Super close to supermarkets and other necessities if you’re stocking up for some time in the Peak District. Comfortable beds. It served its purpose - a good night's sleep during an English road trip.
"Great Premier Inn, highly recommended"
Short stop over for a business meeting in Matlock Reception staff really welcoming and so helpful. Room clean, smelled really nice. Only criticism and it’s personal, I would have liked a more powerful shower. It was perfectly functional. At check out staff we very friendly. I would definitely come back. The best Premier In I have stayed at and been to quite a few
"Good and conveniently located"
Really nice Premier inn close to several tourist attractions. We booked this last minute after the place we had booked and an issue and we needed to cancel. We made the booking about 20 minutes before arriving and they hadn’t had time to reconfigure the room to twin beds as we had requested. They arranged to go in while we were at dinner and get it done, and by the time we got back everything was perfect. Restaurant was nice, we ate there for dinner and also for breakfast the next day, both really good. We got the meal deal which was good value for money. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Only thing I would say is that there was no phone signal in our room. The free wifi helped, but if you needed to make a call you had to press against the window or go outside. We decided to update to the paid wifi so we could stream something to watch. It was only £5 for three devices, which we thought was reasonable
"Conveniently located and comfortable"
The Hotel is ideally located on the A6 Bakewell Road. Matlock Town Centre is a 10 minute walk away. Bakewell is a 10-15 minute drive away. The room in the Hotel was comfortable and airy. Bathroom was well equipped with towels, soap dispensers. Sufficient amount of power plugs, and the WiFi worked perfectly. The Hotel has ample car parking facilities, with 4 charging points for electric cars. If using the car park, do ensure you register your vehicle registration number for your relevant night's you are staying, on the tablet on the check-in desk. For those who arrive by train, the Hotel is a 10 minute walk (app) from Matlock Railway Station, and there is a Bus service outside the Hotel to Bakewell, and currently runs half hourly during the week, hourly on Sundays. The Hotel has a Restaurant for breakfast and evening meals. During our stay, the fire alarm was activated, and the Staff on duty conducted themselves in a calm and professional manner. Whilst the incident proved to be a false alarm, it is comforting as a guest, to know Staff are well prepared for such an incident. We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel, and would certainly return there in the future.
