"Just a couple of tweaks would have made it perfect."
On arrival it was easy to park. The staff on reception were friendly. The room was spacious. The water in the shower was hot. So a good start. However in an increasingly common UK heat waves no Air Con really peeves. However the wheels really fell off at breakfast. Yes there was a wonderful coffee machine with a choice of coffees, but to only have one for a hotel with I believe over 121 family rooms is pathetic. What I need at breakfast is coffee, with caffeine, not designer stuff. I almost went back to reception and picked up some Nescafe sachets as there was hot water and milk. Then just to rub it in, only one extremely slow toaster. Fine if you are a couple, one can do the toast, one que for coffee, but as a solo traveller pants. If I have to visit again, I'll skip their breakfast and walk across the park to McDonalds. It might not be as good, but it will be cheaper and quicker...
"Far too expensive for budget hotel"
£149 per night, far too hot a very poor fan set up. not particulary clean either under bed not clean very old looking run down especially in bathroom
"Friendly helpful staff"
The staff have been so friendly and helpful during my time here (extended twice due to unforeseen circumstances). Feels clean and fairly modern, good parking. Thanks for making my stay comfortable despite the hot weather.
"Christine on reception one in a million "
Arrived on Friday greeted by Christine on reception who I have to say went more than the extra mile I felt very welcome she sorted out where it was best to park my motorcycle and went out of her way to make my experience at the premier inn an enjoyable one Thank you so much ❤️
"If you enjoy an overnight Sauna..."
Great friendly and helpful staff, but unfortunately they are operating a building not fit for purpose. We stayed here for a wedding weekend early summer with temperature lows/highs of 14/24 degrees. Our room temperature remained at 26.5 degrees the entire night, despite open window (or at least as for as it opens with the child protection, which clearly previous guests had already tried to remove) and full blast desk fan. Staff spoken to on the night and the next morning confirmed that there is a known ventilation problem in the building which Premier inn will not fix due to cost issues. Premier inn did not honor their good night guarantee as they claim air-conditioning is not advertised. Apparently Premier Inn believes it reasonable for guests to expect room temperatures far exceeding the daily highs throughout the night. If you enjoy a Sauna, this is the place for you, if not try the Travelodge just down the road.
