"Brilliant"
Stayed for 1 week to see family, went for breakfast every morning, greeted by Beck's, fabulous what a woman, she did it all on her own effortlessly, there is nothing she won't do to make your stay perfect , wonderful, will be again for sure 😀
"The best restaurant manager at breakfast who looks after everyone so well!"
The only reason we are rating the Premiere Inn as good is all because of the lovely lady called Becs in charge of breakfast every morning Monday-Friday during our stay! Becs looked after us & everyone else in the restaurant so attentively that she made us feel like we were at home but better!! She works so hard all of the time welcoming us in, checking on everyone & having little chats about our holiday & talking to our children in between running around taking orders serving food & making sure all the food/drink are stocked up. She was just so attentive!! I would however say that Becs was having to do most of the work & needing to prompt the other staff to do the same so I think the restaurant could do with more staff so she isn’t having to do everything. A person like that is so valuable to a business and needs looking after by her employer because without her we would not have enjoyed our stay at all. Please look after her, she really does deserve it!! We were happy with our room & my daughter really liked the bed with the corner headboard which we haven’t had before, it felt a lot cosier she said. I did however have a problem with black mould in the bath/shower. I wanted to bath my 2 & 6 year old but didn’t want them touching the mould so had to give them quick showers. I let reception know & a lovely young man apologised & volunteered to come & try clean it which I really appreciated but it was still there so I went & bought some cillet bang black mould spray & it dissolved it. I don’t know if the cleaners are given enough time to clean the rooms or maybe not given the correct products to solve the mould problem but I really didn’t want my children around that. It was around the bath handles, at the side of soap dispenser etc. The other disappointment was that the pub didn’t sell any draft beer. After driving a lot by day my husband looks forward to relaxing in the bar with a couple of pints in the evening. Might seem a small thing but he was so disappointed that first evening so he had a bottle of cider the first night & never returned again for the rest of the holiday. Other guests that evening in the pub were disappointed with the reduced menu so ate elsewhere. The staff on reception were very polite welcoming us each day as we passed through which is always nice. Overall we would book again but purely because of Becs who looks after everyone at breakfast & for that reason only. She really is very good at her job in hospitality!! Thanks Becs!! From “your favourite family” 😉😀
"Special mention to manager Bridie"
I been in top 5 stars hotels but the level of friendly and professionalism I found in the reception in this hotel it’s top class specially the manager called Bridie she is a top asset and if I was the owner of the premier inns in England I would promote her to special manager to go all around the premier inns and guide/teach staff the same level of amazing service she gives She’s is top asset
"Clean, hygienic and friendly service"
The service was good for both in hotel and in the breakfast Liskeard tavern. Our room was clean. Air conditioning good and staff serving breakfast was very experienced, friendly. We were amazed how Becks served us whole 3 days. She is very passionate about her job and take cares of all guests coming in.
"What has happened to Premier Inn"
What has happened to Premier Inn. We arrived and were told that the lift wasn’t working. When we left seven days later, the lift was still not working. Guests who had stayed the previous week advised that it had been out of order for several days before we arrived. The general appearance of the hotel was shabby and in need of refurbishment. The carpet had come away from its fixing on the stairs and a leaf that was on the stairs that we noticed on the first day was still there when we left. Worst of all, we booked breakfast in advance. We are great fans of the Premier Inn breakfast and often go to our local branch on a Sunday morning. First we were advised that the cooked breakfast was no longer self service and we had to order what we wanted item by item. On the first morning they ran out of mushrooms and the fruit compote. On the third morning they ran out of hash browns. The fifth morning they topped this by running out of bread! There is a Morrisons less than five minutes drive from the hotel but we were advised by staff that they couldn’t go to get bread there because of “allergy issues”. So much for an ‘eat as much as you want’ breakfast. The staff made the most of this awful experience and Becky, Tiah, Kristelle, Jamie and Shawn have to be recognised for going out of their way to make the most of this chaos. When we (and most of the other guests) complained, we were advised that they had been particularly busy - during the last week of July, when the schools have just started their summer holidays - what a surprise! Sadly, we will definitely think twice about using Premier Inn in the future.
