"A comfy room, uncomfortably hot (29 degrees all night!!)"
A standard premier inn, just one to avoid on hot days. travelled during the hottest weekend of June, temperatures reaching 30 during the day. With windows that only open 5cm, no airflow was possible. With no airflow no cooling of the room. If only it had Aircon! My room didn't drop below 29 degrees both nights I was there. Went with friends for a wedding, all had the same issue. Most of us ended up sleeping in wet towels just to cool off. 29 degrees with no windows and just a petty little fan to cool does not work. 2 stars purely thanks to the staff and their sterling attitude and helpfulness.
"Some Nice Touches That Pitch It Slightly Above Other Premier Inns"
Clean. Comfortable. Quiet. Good parking. Easy access to road network. Good restaurant next door. Loved the complimentary juice at the entrance. WiFi kept the connection (most Premier Inns don’t). Only downside was the lack of air conditioning which was compensated for by the presence of a fan which meant a noisier night than usual.
"Receptionist was lovely but that’s about it."
The cleanliness of my bathroom and room was awful. There was a dreadful smell in the hallway that slowly made it way into my room. Cobwebs all over the sealing of the bedroom and generally very dusty. The bathroom as seen images just was not clean. The extractor fan didn’t work either. Severely disappointed and very upset.
"Not at all bad"
Large rooms with good bathrooms, decor a little tired but functional and comfortable. Good value and would stay here again. Only down point was the lack of a comfortable chair - there was lots of space for one. Other than that very good and would recommend.
"Overnight stay after a funeral"
David was extremely welcoming after a very difficult and stressful day. The room was comfortable and the bed was very good. The lift was a bonus for carting luggage to the second floor and back down again when checking out. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Thank you very much.
