"Comfortable stay"
Weekend stay for a local wedding, friendly staff, quiet night, aircon in the annex building bedrooms, plenty of parking good breakfast accommodating my allergies without a fuss.

"Ridiculously hot room, despite much lower temperatures outside. Poor ventilation."
Rooms unbearably hot in August with no air conditioning and a pathetic useless Dyson rip-off fan. Windows hardly open so ventilation is poor and our huge fan we brought with us could not function well - all of this happened on a cooler day with external temp at 18c we could not get the room below 26c. Would be impossible in heatwave temperatures. Hotel is tired and worn and in desperate need of refurbishment. Will not use again.

"Unbearable heat"
The bathroom and bedroom was spotless. The heat was unbearable even with a fan. Temperature in the room at 3am was 29.5C. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant - the food was fine and the staff were very friendly. I would not stay in the hotel again during the summer months unless they install airconditioning.

"Avoid unless you want to leave tired and anxious!!"
Location is fine not much traffic noise as it’s a very busy area at times which makes it time consuming to return or leave during peak hours. There isn’t really any atmosphere as there are only reception staff as you enter who are helpful and polite. Rooms are small, dated and airless. No air conditioning and windows you can barely open make these rooms claustrophobic and we were unable to sleep due to the intensity of the heat even with three operational fans. The rooms are grubby and dated and need a refresh with lighter furnishings and paint. We went out all day and only retired to sleep( which we didn’t). The restaurant for breakfast, lunch and evening meal is interesting especially the clientele. This establishment is open to non staying guests and that ranges from drug users, travellers, and people who turn up in pyjamas, string vests and dressing gowns. The car park is used for smokers and drug users which is unpleasant to see and walk through. No monitoring! The food(particular breakfast is okay! Repetitive, not much of a variety! Bacon and scrambled eggs overcooked and cereal which is left overnight with no cover. Honestly this place is grim and even though it was our first experience at a Premier Inn it most certainly will be our last.
