Llantrisant Hotel

Das Hotel ist relativ neu, die Zimmer sind geräumig und zweckmäßig ausgestattet, die Matratzen sind sehr gut und die Bettwäsche ist angenehm. Die Schnellstraße, die am Hotel vorbeiführt, ist kaum zu hören, da die Fenster sehr gut schallisoliert sind. Vermisst habe ich ein Telefon auf dem Zimmer, auch gibt es keinen Stecker für einen elektrischen Rasierapparat oder für die Aufladung des Mobiltelefons mit europäischer Norm. Das sehr reichhaltige Frühstück (All you can eat) und auch Mittag- oder Abendessen können im daneben liegenden Restaurant Beefeater eingenommen werden. Die Mahlzeiten dort sind preiswert. Das Personal am Empfang ist sehr hilfsbereit und besonders freundlich. Das Hotel liegt zwar verkehrsgünstig, kann aber ohne Auto oder Taxi (ca. 6 pound sterl. vom Bahnhof Pontyclun) kaum erreicht werden.

Prachtig en stil hotel, mooie kamer en badkamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Beter dan sommige duurdere hotels dan waar we deze vakantie ook zijn geweest. Dus aangenaam verrast en we zullen daarom vaker bij deze keten overnachten, zeker als we op doorreis zijn. Geen eigen ontbijtservice, maar dit was wel te regelen in het naastgelegen Beefeter. We hebben daar geen gebruik van gemaakt, dus daar kan ik niets over zeggen.

We stayed 4 nights. Not up to the usual Premier Inn standard. We were placed on the middle floor in the new build/Annex, with a broken lift (by the time we left, it was still broken, must be at least a working week!). We were told the lift was broken as we checked in, nothing was marked up on the outside of the lift doors on any of the floors. The room was fine, but the only room Window cannot be opened! one has to rely on the room air conditioner. On the check out day, we found my partners car, with a broken front passenger window (having been smashed in a break in! that night). She reported it to reception & Tim was most unsympathetic with zero empathy (he said in the "seven years he has been there, this was the first car break in"). He very reluctantly left reception to view the damage. At least the duty manager, Kelsey agreed to review the car park CCTV for evidence of the break in. The local Police were called & the car break in was duly reported . Police CSI later arrived & took evidence; pictures, dusted for prints etc. Both the local Police officers (phone & CSI) were very efficient & both displayed empathy (they are a credit to the local Police force). By then, Kelsey had found the video clip showing the car break in. The CCTV picture (shown to the Police CSI only) was of a low quality due to the fact the cameras are the of the lowest resolution & therefore nearly useless & there only for show! Plus there is no meaningful security fence/wall around this Premier Inn, thereby making it easy for anyone to enter/exit from any direction, without being seen from the reception.

Great central location for access to busy road, comfortable clean hotel with warm welcoming staff. Great parking facilities and bus route nearby from Cardiff train station bus.

POS: Hotel & Staff great and helpful, Premier Plus room clean, tidy, kept stocked and in good condition. Plenty of Parking and easy login at reception. NEG: Breakfast served in the Beefeater Pub next door, first mornings Breakfast was excellent served buffet style, all fresh and hot. Second morning was less desirable with most food items dried out including Scrambled Eggs, Bacon and Mushrooms and when asked no freshly cooked items to be put out until the above had been used. Current breakfast price £10.99. Third morning went elsewhere for a better quality breakfast at a lower price point. No what I expect from a Premier Inn.
