Carrickfergus Hotel

Ich habe bereits zum zweiten Mal im Premier Inn residiert. Beim ersten Mal logierte ich allein, beim zweiten ;al im September begleitete mich meine Frau auf der musikalischen Geschäftsreise. Bei beiden Aufenthalten wurde ich sehr freundlich und vor allem hilfsbereit von der Reszeption unterstützt. Alle Damen der Rezeption waren erfolgreich bemüht, mich in jedlicher Weise zu unterstützen. Ich drehte ein Musikvideo und benötigte einen tragbaren CD-Spieler und eine Gitarre. Beides wurde mir problemlos zur Verfügung gestellt. OHNE Zusatzkosten ... Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und mit einer Naßzelle mit Badewanne und intergrierter Dusche versehen. Das Haus ist ruhig und in einer herrlichen Lage gelegen. Direkt zwischen der Bucht von Belfast und dem Castle von Carrickfergus. Zwischen Hotel und Bucht liegt nur ein Parkplatz und ein Segelclub. Das Castle hingegen ist von keinem Fenster aus zu sehen. Allerdings wird das Premier Inn erweitert (Anbau). Von den neuen Zimmern aus wird man einen excellenten Blick auf die Burg haben. In guter Erreichbarkeit liegt ein Sailsburry Supermarkt in dem man sich preiswert eindecken kann. Mit allem, was man benötigt. Auf dem Zimmer ist Wasserkocher und Kaffee sowie Tee vorhanden. Das Fruhstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und beinhaltet neben Toast, Müsli, Marmelade, etc. auch warme, typisch englische Speisen. Es wird im angrenzenden Restaurant serviert. Leider ist manche Bedienung dort recht unaufmerksam und leider nicht so zuvorkommend. Aber eben nur manche, nich alle dort arbeitenden fallen in diese Kathegorie. Schulnotenmäßig bekommt das Fruhstücksbuffet eine glatte 2 (gut), Das am Abend bereitete Buffet wegen fehlender Reichhaltigkeit nur eine 4 (ausreichend).

Nous avions réservé il y a plus de deux mois je suis en fauteuil roulant électrique. Nous avions bien précisé que nous voulions une chambre pmr comme dans tout les premier inn et là, qu'elle ne fut pas ma surprise, bien qu'ils aient répondu favorablement à notre demande. Je me retrouve dans une chambre. Avec un lit d'une hauteur d'à peu près 80 cm de haut. Une salle de bain. Tellement petite que mon fauteuil rentre à peine et qu'on ait obligé de m'y mettre. Les toilettes n'ont aucune barres et pour terminer, j'ai une baignoire. Et on m'apprend qu'il n'y a qu'une chambre pmr qu'elle est déjà prise. Cela fait 2 mois quand même que nous avions précisé et qu'ils avaient validé cela va être les 2 nuits. Les plus horribles de ma vie. Là, je suis dépendante pour rentrer. Dans la salle de bain. Pour que l'on m'aide. Aller sur les toilettes que l'on m'aide à sortir des toilettes. Et ensuite à sortir de la salle de bain. C'est lamentable

It was amazing the beds were comfy, the staff were nice and theres a bar at the ground floor near reception! 5/5 im coming back when im in belfast.

Visited here just for a wee night away. Upon pulling up to the hotel we could see it was in serious need of freshening up. Varnish worn of the wood outside, very noticeable cracks in the walls above windows. However the reception foyer was much more pleasant. As we made our way to our room we could see very noticeable tiles in ceiling chipped, cracked or broken entirely. The room itself was clean and presented well albeit the bathroom is looking a bit tired. We had paid for the meal deal. As we entered the adjacent restaurant Brewyer Fayre we were welcomed be a warm family pub feel until we rounded the corner and were shown to our sits. The glass panel interior had grease hand prints all over it. The wall beside my wife's head had another hand print on it. The floor didn't seem to have been hoovered for a while. The tables varnish had been worn away. The housekeeping seemed to be seriously lacking. The next morning for breakfast we saw the same things untouched. We ordered our meals and yes, we didn't expect Michelin stared food, we expected what we have come to expect. Decent grub for very reasonable prices. My wife got the Indian curry she always gets when we stay at the premier Inn. I got the mixed grill. You could have swore the curry was a soup it was that watery and no flavour, not what we have come to expect. The rice overcooked. My plate came out swimming in grease. The sausages were obviously deep fried was grease oozing out of it, the chicken filet was rubber and synthetic tasting, even the chips tasted as if they're cooked in oil that needed changed last year, hyperbole,. Breakfast was moderately better, just. The same sausages, disgusting. Bacon, egg, beans were ok. Coffee very weak and not what we have come to expect. Would I go back to the Carrickfergus premier inn? No. Fell well below standards of other Premier Inn's I've stayed at.

A really good clean hotel in a great location for exploring Belfast. Our room was spacious, and clean with a very good shower as you would expect.The staff were always very professional, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was a mix of hot and cold food, and was plentiful and replenished constantly.👍
