Solihull South (M42) Hotel

Das Premier Inn ist ein einfaches, ordentliches Hotel in der Nähe der M42. Die Motorengeräusche von der nahen Autobahn sind unaufdringlich. Die Zimmer sind sauber und komfortabel, aber ohne Klimaanlage, jedoch mit Standventilator. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Steaks des angrenzenden Restaurants „Beefeater“, sind sehr empfehlenswert. Nur das Basis-WLAN ist kostenlos, welches zum Versenden von Email mit größeren Anhängen ungeeignet ist. Schade, dass der high-speed Internetzugang kostenpflichtig ist.

Our overnight stay was unfortunately below the standard we had expected, although the excellent breakfast service the next morning significantly improved our overall experience. We arrived at the hotel around 8:00 PM and had booked the room for four guests, but the additional beds had not been prepared. After informing reception, it took some time for assistance to arrive, and initially only one set of bedding was brought instead of two. The room was also quite stuffy, although this may have been due to the hot weather. Once the staff arrived, however, they were polite and professional in resolving the issue. As a suggestion, ensuring rooms are fully prepared for guests arriving after 7:30 PM would greatly improve the experience, particularly for those arriving tired after a long day. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast service and the outstanding support from Presley in the restaurant and Jonna in the kitchen. Although the hotel was very busy and there was limited food available by the time we arrived for breakfast at 9:00 AM, both handled the situation exceptionally well and made sure we were looked after. Their professionalism and positive attitude genuinely turned an average stay into a much better experience. We would especially like to thank Presley and Jonna for their excellent customer service and for making a real difference to our stay.

Just a quick stop over between Scotland and the South Coast, we didn’t eat but the 5 stars are for receptionist Sue, what a lovely welcome. She was so warm on arrival and even helped me out with my broken sunglasses! Great hospitable staff member! Also room was very clean.

I was checked in by Sue who made me feel welcome and comfortable whilst checking in. She was very helpful when I asked for more coffee for the room. The room was clean and spacious. The only down side is there was no bar.
