Newcastle (Washington) Hotel

Ich war diesen Samstag Abend mit meinem 2 Jahre alten Sohn hier. Das Zimmer war in Ordnung, modern gestaltet, das Bett gut, das Personal recht freundlich. Um 2 Uhr morgens fielen aber 4 gedankenlose und betrunkene Rowdys ins Zimmer über uns ein, die dann laut riefen und plapperten, bis alles um 5.38 Uhr in einem Streit darüber endete, wer auf wessen Bett uriniert hatte!! Das Gefluche war so schlimm und so laut, dass ich den Kopf meines Sohnes an mich drücken musste, damit er nichts hörte - ganz zu schweigen von den Pornofilmen, dem Erbrechen und dem endlosen Geschrei. Wie das Holiday Inn 4 erwachsenen Männern ein Familienzimmer geben kann ist eine Sache, aber über einen so langen Zeitraum ohne Intervention einen solchen Aufruhr stattfinden zu lassen, ist absolut inakzeptabel. Falls der einzige Angestellte nicht wusste, was passierte, fragt man sich, wie sicher das Hotel ist. Dies ist ohne Zweifel der schlimmste Hotelaufenthalt, den ich je erlebt habe.

Stayed with family for Take That concert. Receptionist on Tuesday afternoon shift was very helpful. Janice and Paula were lovely too when we got back in. Hotel is great, very clean, rooms were perfect. Housekeepers the next morning we’re all friendly and said hello as we passed. Breakfast although very busy was spot on, items constantly being replenished and Paul was very nice. All in all it was a great stay. Thanks to all the team.

One of the best Premiers we have stayed in. Lovely staff, rooms clean and plenty of tea, coffee and milk available. The only thing that could have made the stay tip top was a summer duvet on the bed, we roasted with the winter one. Grab rails in the shower room would be much appreciated. The breakfast was smashing, plenty of it and tasty.

Stayed two nights recently and would have given a top rating but for the huge pot holes just before the car park. Chose to stay here mainly as a base to explore the surrounding area and because prices were very reasonable with newly refurbished rooms and breakfast room. We had booked at a time when free breakfast were given. Staff very probably some of the most friendly people we have experienced at premier inns and this really made our visit very pleasant. Our room was a bit small. We had booked a family room hoping to get a room with a bath which we got so very happy. The window opened a bit but we did not get much of an internet signal on our phones without hanging out the window! There is a separate toby carvery restaurant across the road which we ate at once and was nice with only really carvery meals. The breakfast was good, decor lovely and lady working there was kind and friendly to everyone. Not too far by car to a shopping centre and supermarkets, Durham and Washington Village with Washington Old Hall and a few nice bars and cafes etc.

Absolutely great stay. Room was very clean with the mist recent updated style. It had been a very hot week but the room was lovely and cool and a fan had been left for our use too. We left the window open for a while and there was a little noise from the sports bar opposite but as soon as we closed it we couldn't hear anything. We slept well with no issues. The shower was also lovely, prefer the new showers to a bath personally. We had breakfast the next morning and the staff were very knowledgeable regarding allergies. I have a dairy intolerance and they immediately got the allergy book out to explain everything. They also told me they would have someone take my order and make a fresh plate from the kitchen so I didn't have to use the hot buffet. Very impressed, they completely put me at ease regarding my intolerance. Overall very happy with our stay.
