Das Hotel hat sehr große und sehr bequeme Betten. Die Zimmer und das Badezimmer sind sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, stetig werden am warmen Buffett, das sich direkt an die Küche anschließt, frische Speisen zubereitet. Alles macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Die Lage des Hotels direkt im Stadtzentrum ist prima, um in den Geschäften zu bummeln oder Restaurants oder Pubs zu besuchen. Samstags empfiehlt sich der Markt. Hier bieten die Händler sehr viele Regionale Sachen an.

Katie on reception has been brilliant. After a very difficult day she was such a calming influence and made all the difference. She helped me out very kindly with a last minute booking and I can’t thank her enough.

Large rooms, plenty of coat hangers, hooks for coats, drawers, comfy bed and pillows. Long corridors, wide stairs and lifts, the Premier Inn is very standardised. The biggest problem would be the heating/cooling system which is difficult to operate despite the card explaining how to adjust everything. The noise is like an aircraft waiting on the runway. When trying to switch the fans off there is a sign telling you that it is controlled centrally. It does come and go and fortunately after a glass of wine or two we slept through it. The room has everything you need for a short, overnight stay. A hairdryer, coffee, tea facilities and a decent sized multi channeled tv. The side lights by the side of the bed are static and it would help if they could be moved towards a book you are reading. The windows are huge but the curtains are good at keeping the light out in the morning, thankfully. Because of the noise and dust at the bottom of the wardrobe where you hang your suit etc, I was tempted to give the hotel 3 stars but, overall, it was good value and, ironically, in a very quiet area very close to the town centre. So 4 stars it is.
