Tamworth South Hotel

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Gewerbegebiet und damit etwas Abseits, ist dadurch aber gut erreichbar. Zumindest während der Woche wird es wohl vorwiegend von Geschäftsleuten und Monteuren gebucht. Das Haus ist noch recht modern, direkt nebenann befindet sich ein Pub (das Centurion), wo es auch Frühstück gibt. Die Zimmer fand ich sehr angenehm, mit einem guten Bett, ausreichend Platz und einem sauberen Bad. Die Räume sind klimatisiert, wobei man individuell regeln kann. Die Fenster können nicht geöffnet werden, was aber wegen des Verkehrs draussen auch besser ist. Frühstück gibt es als Continental Breakfast für GBP 6.99 (Toast, Muffins, Marmelade, Kaffee, Joghurt, Müsli .. ganz OK) oder das Full Breakfast für GBP 8.99. Letzeres umfasst den Continental Teil und zusätzlich kann man die üblichen englischen Frühstückssachen dazubestellen. Damit ist das full breakfast das bessere Geschäft. Ungewöhnlich dabei ist, dass man die warmen Sachen (ich glaube beliebig viel) bestellt und sich nicht irgendwo selber nimmt. Vorteil ist ganz klar dass sie immer frisch (und lecker) aus der Küche kommen. Kleiner Nachteil dass man nicht experimentieren kann. Ganz klarer Pluspunkt noch: Es gibt überall - auch im Zimmer - kostenloses WLAN, das zum Surfen, Spielen oder mails lesen völlig ausreicht. Braucht man mehr, z.B. für Videostreaming, kann man für GBP 5.00 pro tag upgraden. Finde ich sehr fair. Personal sowoh an der Rezeption als auch beim Frühstück fand ich sehr nett. Insgesamt finde ich da Premier Inn sehr angenehm und werde gerne wiederkommen.

Hotel was great - it's a perfectly clean premier inn, exactly what you'd expect. No frills, comfy bed. This review is for the restaurant, The Centurion, particularly. My wife and daughter both have food allergies and it was probably the best care we've ever experienced in a restaurant in terms of catering for allergies. They didn't panic or make a big fuss, but they knew exactly what to do, prepared everything separately without us asking to avoid cross-contamination, and never made us feel like we were causing a problem or making their lives difficult. Thank you!

The receptionist Lisa was amazing, very friendly and nothing was oo much trouble. Excellent servicesnd a creit to your company.

I travel a lot and Premier Inn Tamworth South has become a regular stop - Sophie has a great team and they often go out of their way to make sure my stay as pleasant as possible. Looking forward to my next visit already!

A five star review, partially due to great service and decent room for the money, but mostly because I lost an expensive wash bag and it was on my doorstep within 4 days.
