Efficace

"Great Customer Service"
First time we stay in this Premier Inn in Nottingham, the location great place where it is, access to bars, restaurants and the shops. As always when we stay at Premier Inn as stay at Premier Inn in other cities, always sleep comfortable as the mattress and pillows is the best in my opinion and two staff members stood out.
We would like to praise the Manager Donovan at Premier Inn and Alice who works in the restaurant. Donovan has such a nice aura about him, he was so welcoming, he's customer service was exceptional, down to earth, we had an issue which was resolved and this was due to Donovan excellence customer service which he made a positive experience and stay. Thank you Donovan it has been a pleasure talking with you and for Alice in the restaurant who was very bubbly, again welcoming and very down to earth, great customer service. Both members of staff great asset to Premier Inn.

"Dangerous fire safety"
We stayed on the 9th of May and encountered a fire alarm at approximately 5 AM, which we understand can happen unexpectedly. However, it appears that smoke had entered a room on the third floor.
The handling of this incident was alarming. There seemed to be only one staff member present to manage the situation, indicating a lack of established fire safety protocols or proper training. In the entrance lobby, many guests were congregated, blocking the hallways, while the staff member appeared overwhelmed. It was notable that two hotel residents stepped in to assist with a user manual for the fire alarm.
Furthermore, the communication was unclear. Some guests were instructed to evacuate, while others were allowed to remain in the hotel and return to their rooms despite the ongoing alarm. This confusion could potentially have serious safety implications, including loss of life.
I believe these issues warrant investigation by the appropriate authorities to ensure guest safety moving forward.
Further more Premier in have refused to refund the room, even though they did not know how to reset the alarm and left guests unable to sleep after 5am. Terrible.

"No concern for guest's Health & Safety"
Location good, atmosphere good, value was alright and the amenities were fine. Showerhead was a bit too low to be honest, but everything worked. Hotel was fit for purpose in terms of cleanliness and noise, and day staff were helpful upon check-in. However at 5am the fire alarms went off, which was confusing at first as they turned off after a short while, and then started going again. We left the room on the 1st floor to see people standing on the stairwell and packing the lobby, with some outside in the freezing temperatures, some not fully clothed.
There was literally no communication from the staff on-site and we were all just stood there for around half an hour, wondering whether we should be outside or if it was a false alarm. The alarm was still sounding and the Fire Brigade eventually turned up and started sweeping the rooms - a second crew came in about 10 minutes later and began sweeping too. Still no communication and some guests even went back in to get their things and check-out early - again, no one said anything to them, or tried to stop them. The Fire Brigade tried helping turn the alarm off, which only turned it off in the rooms and you could still hear it sounding. Then they left without a word, and nothing from the staff either.. at this point we realised that nothing was going on and that the people still outside were locked out and couldn't get back in unless we let them.
We did so and went back to our rooms at around 6:30am by this point. 90 minutes of noise, no communication, no apology or direction.
On check-out we went to complain and the woman behind the desk simply handed a card like it was protocol and announced to their colleague loudly, that our room was making a complaint to which the unseen staff member simply said "oh well". We made a complaint as directed, and honestly half of it was shrugged off by the replier, completely ignoring the inconvenience and denying accountability for any part - saying it was simply due to another guest vaping in their room. Bearing in mind this wasn't said at the time by the Fire Brigade or Staff, or even the staff on check-out the following day either.
They had simply failed to address any concerns and couldn't really give a single care that we hadn't had the stay, despite their fire alarm not turning off. No offer of a drink while we waited, and still charged full for the breakfast - absolutely no apology for the lack of communication, not following Fire Safety protocol, or being able to turn the alarm off. They nonchalantly put it all on another guest vaping in their room - an obvious cop-out.

"5am Fire alarm poorly managed"
A reasonable experience overall. This is after all a budget hotel. The communal area carpets in reception and corridors are in serious need of cleaning. Experience was helped by the actions of a couple of members of staff. On arrival (early) on Saturday 9th May reception promptly offered storage of our bags. Alex at breakfast on May 10th was outstanding with a warm cheerful welcome and prompt explanation. Moreover she went out of her way to prepare a table for our party of six. Thank you Alex.
The big downer wasn’t obviously the 5am Fire alarm but the nonexistent communication from the night staff while we mustered outside for an hour while the alarm persisted despite there not being a fire. Why on earth was nothing announced to the assembled guests. Disappointing and dangerous. Please speak to the relevant staff and send for training.
