Nottingham City Centre (Chapel Bar) Hotel

Très bien situé à deux pas de Market square et des bus de Friar Lane (pour Airport ou les stades le long de la Trent) ou encore du Royal concert hall. Propre, sûr, confortable et calme. Belle steakhouse au rdc pour une arrivée en soirée, breakfast copieux et assez varié. Efficace

Clean, comfortable and very friendly. We were a group of 8 friends and made very welcome. They also helped with directions around city.

Receptionist was very rude and unprofessional with how she managed my situation. I had checked into the hotel and she didn’t ask me for any type of ID, 15 minutes later she knocked on my door saying I had to leave as she said I was underaged and needed to see ID however I didn’t have any on me at the time and I had told her I was 18 multiple times. So I left and booked a different hotel. Before I left I asked her if I would be refunded and she said I should speak to guest relations which I did the next day. I Then got an email about 2 days later from the reception saying I voided the terms and conditions when I never once did as I am 18, and that I wouldn’t be receiving a refund. The woman was so unprofessional and rude when she had emailed me back (quite a few times) actually and instead of stopping the disagreement when I had said I was going to take it further she proceeded to carry on when it wasn’t necessary. I am unhappy with the way they handled it as they didn’t ask for my id when I was checking in and if they had I would have got a refund there and then and booked a different hotel but instead she caused a problem 15mins into my stay there.

A very friendly, efficient welcome and check in. The room, including bathroom was very clean. I personally felt it looked a little tired compared to my most recent stays at other Premier Inns. The suggested Euro car park is very tight for manoeuvring in and I didn't seem to get a discount as advertised. But overall I enjoyed my one night stay and definitely recommend this hotel. I'd stay there again.

I only paid £124 for 3 nights over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. This hotel began life as a Holiday Inn Express, so expect the layout to differ slightly from the majority of Premier Inns. In particular , the bathrooms are more compact than usual, made worse by the extraction vents being switched off, so after a shower the bathroom is extremely steamy. The location is spot on for bus and tram access, while the railway station is a 15 minute uphill walk. Lots of bus routes connect the station with the hotel. Both the Theatre Royal & Playhouse theatres are close by. Breakfast was excellent in a spacious, well maintained, Bar+Blockhouse restaurant. I did notice the bacon was better on the 1st morning, when a different chef was on duty compared to the other 2 mornings. Turning to my room - I started off in what appeared to be a good 4th floor room. However, I discovered there was no power supply to the kettle and TV. The aircon was also a bit weak. The situation was resolved with a room move the following morning to the 1st floor. Everything worked this time, including a more powerful aircon. Only 1 of the 2 lifts was working during my stay. Cleaning to the communal areas around the stairwells left much to be desired.
