"Worst ever experience at a Premier Inn"
On the day of my stay, the hotel was at 100% occupancy, it being a Bank Holiday weekend, and this had a bad effect on service levels. The management has evidently cut staff levels to the bare bone, with the same individual single-handedly operating Reception and running other services like the Restaurant and Room Service at the same time.
There was no toilet paper in my bathroom. (It was replenished by staff on entry to room.)
There were no mugs or glasses in the room. (I had to ask for them.)
There was no fresh bath towel. What looked like the previous occupant's towel was still hanging on the rail. I couldn't ask for a fresh towel, as staff were unavailable. Therefore, I was unable to shower.
The room was very cold at 16C. It took several hours to heat up to an acceptable 21C.
The dining room was busy when I arrived at my allotted dining time and there was nowhere for me to sit, and no member of staff to greet me and seat me. I had to go away for 30 minutes and return later.
A group of drunken, raucous guests dominated the dining area with their loud shouting at dinner. It was unpleasant for other, quieter guests to be in their presence.
The dining room was grossly under-staffed. I had to wait 40 minutes for my main course. I had ordered Tagliatelle with a tomato and chilli sauce. When it arrived it was small enough to be a child's portion - possibly 40g or 50g of dry pasta. It was just slopped into the bowl and no Parmesan cheese was offered by the Server. They didn't approach me to ask if I was having dessert; I had to catch the Server as she passed in order to get my pre-paid dessert. Other diners complained that their food orders never arrived, even after a long wait.
BREAKFAST: The same group of raucous guests was still dominating the room at breakfast. I had to take a seat as far away from them as possible to avoid being deafened by their shouting.
The hotel was extremely under-staffed; extremely slow service; very poor attention to detail in rooms; lack of cleanliness/provision of basics such as loo paper and clean towels.
I WILL NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN

"I would recommend"
I visited the hotel to visit family and friends near by. I had a great experience within the hotel. The team were super helpful and attentive to my needs. The location was perfect with great travel links near by. There was a very calm environment which made it easy to relax and focus. The room itself met my needs having everything in that I needed and it was clean and tidy. When I wanted some extra tea, the person at the front desk was super helpful. I booked to have dinner in the restaurant, it was a great price and with a good presentation. Local they have shops near by a gym and beauty parlour near. This hotel ticked all the boxes for me.

"Room for improvement"
Rooms a little tired but was clean. I found the bed on the soft side. Check-in fine, though we did have to wait a few minutes. Restaurant - one of the servers (Indian girl) was an absolute star, bussing tables, serving drinks, smile on her face. Other one just stared at her phone most of the time, ignored customers (including me) and appeared work-shy to the max! If she's on break (which I'm sure she wasn't... unless she was on break all the time) she shouldn't be there in uniform behind the bar blanking customers! Food was decent both in the evening and at breakfast. Felt in general like the place was a bit short-staffed... though it might have appeared less so if everyone had been doing their job!

"Either no vacuum or lazy cleaners or both"
Room 122, mould in bathroom , very settled so no attempt to even clean it away, before built up.
Room had not been cleaned properly as floor had visible dirt including food under chair, noticed most of the main passage way and stairs also dirty, obviously had been some time since hoovering had taken place.
Bathroom floor had dirt on no proper floor clean, by this I mean floor actually washed, ground in dirt.
Extremely poor standard.
Parking, car parked in disabled bay with no Blue Badge displayed, and there were plenty of available parking spaces, so disabled parking not controlled or monitored.
Only saw one staff member, on check-in, could not check in on-line, apparently not able to do so.
Hairdryer not usual standard, pathetic performance.
We needed to leave early so it was check in and bed, do not think had we asked for a room and communal area to be cleaned this would have been done, plus time it would take a considerable time to do, given that the cleaning was not a one of lapsed day of not cleaning.
This hotel has gone downhill since last stay.

"Very disappointing"
Booked for an overnight stay in a plus room 224. Had also booked an evening meal as the local Italian was closed. Restaurant is small and the server gave us the information that no fries of and sort were unavailable which is quite bizarre to say the least so it was two burgers without but no discount applied! The room was ok but the bathroom was and is the grubbiest we have ever seen in a plus room. The heating was also broken as there was a free standing heater in the room. This is not what we expect at all!
