"As expected"
As expected with a 'Premier Inn', charming reception staff and a clean room. Minor complaints; tiny bathroom, and I dislike the 'please ask' if you want fresh towels. Daft idea. Easy parking, ideal for heading south through the Wirral.

"Great staff, good sleep but needs updating."
We spent 2 nights here for a short break away. There's plenty of parking here, so no fighting for a space, you just need to remember to enter your registration at the desk.
The staff are great! Can't fault any of them. Those in the pub were rushed off their feet at breakfast but food still came out quickly, and was delicious!
Our room was the reason I scored 4, walking in it had a perculiar smell like stale cigarette smoke or something close. Compared to others we've stayed in it was in a state of minor disrepair the bathroom being the main culprite with paintwork chipped off, old mouldy areas viewable where it had been scrubbed off the ceiling all around. The backing on the mirror was gone in places too.
The view from our window was a messy jungle.
As for sleep it was peaceful and comfortable, day 2 was when we had someone arrive next door who banged about like an elephant, though fortunately not overnight.
The curtains had 2 wear holes that let light through from the outdoor lighting. The indoor vent cover had mould on the bottom of it.
Wifi was great! No complaints on the ultimate wifi at all, well worth the £5 a day charge.
Room was clean, no complaints but we did have to request extra toilet paper as it wasn't topped up, and we didn't want to run out.
The other thing was the tv volume, restricted to 15 which meant when we watched a film we couldn't hear the speech just the songs on that film. The volume restriction could do with being taken up on the hotel settings.
All in all I'd stay again just not in that particular room unless the perculiar odour was sorted out.
