Preston South (Craven Drive) Hotel

The premier room bed is amazing and comfy, despite making it every day myself before going out to work. The welcome was good. I stayed for 5 nights and asked for my room cleaned on day 3 and again on day 4. I was working 12 hour days and the room wasn't cleaned on either day, not even a clean towel or a bed make!! Very disappointed by this lack of basic service. Why give a coffee machine and not replenish the pods each day. I had to go down to reception myself every day for clean towels and they only gave me sachets of nescafe no pods!! It didn't say on the room descriptions that the coffee was rationed. I have never stayed anywhere in the world where the rooms aren't cleaned at all on a 5 night stay!! I've heard of cost cutting but this is ridiculous - they must be making high profits for little effort made!!

What a fantastic hotel! The best Premier Inn we have ever stayed in without a doubt! Firstly the location is easy to find, a safe area and has plenty of parking. The welcome we received from all of the staff was second to none, but a special mention for Theresa (aka “Granny”) must be made as she went out of her way to help us through the process of sorting my Mum’s gluten free breakfast requirements and was such a lovely lady we spent quite a while chatting to her, and what a personality this lady has! We easily could have spent all day with her! The beds were comfy, everything seemed new and when we arrived the sofa bed had all been made up ready so we had this and the double. We had an excellent stay and will absolutely be back again! Well done team.

As reception takes vehicle registration numbers there is no excuse to allow non disabled vehicles to park in disabled spaces, there are only 4 blue badge spaces three motor scooters were parked in one of the blue badge spaces. Coffee pod machine the coffee pods are not nice. Showers do not have non slip mats, when lathering up the base of shower becomes slippery. The quality of the beds and sleep excellent. The coloured subdued light in the bathroom at night is a great idea allowing you to use the bathroom with disturbing your spouse. Breakfast absolutely fantastic the cook did a great job I believe her name is Donna thanks you and well done for such an excellent Breakfast eggs cooked to perfection. The staff in the Breakfast room so happy to help given excellent service nothing was to much trouble for them thank you so much ladies.

good location. lovely and clean. breakfast was great. premium plus room was fantastic. stayed one night as a stop off during a long drive. would recommend.

My wife have been visiting our son in Penwortham for many years and our. choice of hotel is always the Premier inn at Craven Drive. Since the refurbishment the hotel and rooms are even better. The beds are so comfortable and staff friendly and efficient. We would like to make special mention Bill on reception and Theresa in the breakfast room, who are so nice and helpfull, a credit to the company. One small suggestion is that a small container for recycling materal in each room rather than having to leave it outside the bin used for general rubbish which is untidy.
