Blackpool East (M55, Jct4) Hotel

A few miles away from the hustle of the beach area but with free parking and quiet rooms you are away from the hen parties and the loud blokes. The staff were lovely and a big shout out to Paul who checked us in. A gentlemen from start to finish. Rooms at clean and what you expect from a Premier Inn. We were there on one of the hottest days of the year so would have been nice to open the window wider but that's a small thing and England is rarely 38°

Great value for money in a fantastic location, just a short drive from the beach town. We had a really lovely stay. Breakfast was excellent, and the service was outstanding — Rosie (working breakfast on 26th May, I believe) went above and beyond to make sure everyone was looked after, even while it was incredibly busy. The chef was also wonderful: friendly, polite, and very accommodating, and the breakfast itself was delicious. Room was spacious and there was plenty of room for a family of 4. The only minor downside was the lack of air conditioning, but this was clearly stated on the website beforehand, and a fan was thoughtfully provided in the room, which was appreciated.

It's a very convenient location if you have a car, making access to the motorway, Blackpool, Lytham & St Annes etc all very easy. The bed was very comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful. However, these are the suggestions I have fed back to PI: - Fix the bathroom fan in room 106 - Sort out the heat! 26.5C to 27C constantly, despite heat off, fan going, and window open. Ambient temperature outside was only 6C (night) to 13C (day)! Where is the heat coming from? - Some cleaning spots missed, though generally the room and hotel was clean. E.g. Top of heater swtich appeared to have several weeks of dust. Do you not have supervisors doing spot checks? - Differentiate rooms - we had a room with additional bed instead of armchair in sample photo. We preferred having armchair + deskchair due to back problems. Reception spent 10 mins running to check available rooms for armchair, with no luck, so ended up providing an additional desk chair. We do appreciate the effort to help, but it would be nice if we knew which room we were booking it would have helped. - Fridges in rooms would be nice, or ice machines in lobby - because of the heat problems.

The outside was very clean and tidy and parking was not an issue. The young lady that checked us in was so nice and friendly. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfy. Breakfast was all very well cooked (the chef, Simon was also a lovely chap) Some small issues were; not enough milks provided in the room and a mini shampoo/conditioner would have come in handy but there was none. Some extra pillows would have been good too, we only had one each. Also not a lot of continental breakfast variety available. A larger issue was that the room was uncomfortably warm through the night but once the window was open I managed to sleep. I still think a 5 star is deserved because had i stayed more than one night, I would have had those things rectified and we really did enjoy our stay.
