Blackpool East (M55, Jct4) Hotel

Fantastic hotel with professional, courteous staff and a great breakfast.

We had a great experience at this hotel. We were there for two nights to visit Blackpool and go to the pleasure beach and Sandcastle Waterpark etc. I originally booked for three people but we had an add-on and I had rung Premier Inn Central Reservations to check this wouldn't be a problem. On arriving at the hotel, however, the room had only been set up with three beds. The reception staff jumped into action and had a fourth bed put in the room within an hour, encouraging us to carry on with our holiday in the meantime. We had a lot of fun in Blackpool as a family of four, but it was great to be able to come back and use the pub attached to the hotel for dinner times and to watch the World Cup matches. The breakfast in the hotel was of fantastic range and quality and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. The weather was warm during our stay and the bedroom did get quite hot and stuffy. However, the hotel had provided a very powerful fan, which was sufficient to cool us all down and ensure we had 2 good night's sleep.

This hotel needs a full revamp as it is very tired. It is a boiling hot hellhole in warm weather with no air conditioning and windows that only open a crack. Our room was 31 degrees when we checked in at 5pm but, inspite of the weather cooling outside, it was still 30 degrees at 11pm and 29.5 in the morning with the window open. There was a small desk fan which we had to have on full all night as you can't move it nearer the bed like the old pedestal fans and I barely slept. The rooms are tired and not particularly clean. When we stayed in December, our room was mouldy and the external walls were actually wet. It is no longer fit for purpose for paying guests and should be condemned. The staff are always lovely but they can't make up for the awful building. Sadly I will have to find another hotel for visiting family as I don't ever want to stay here again.

Extremely impressed with the staff. After having to travel to Blackpool because of a family emergency. We had no booking, first tried the airport Premier inn, unfortunately they were fully booked Ian rang this Premier inn and found us a room. Paul was waiting for us on arrival and made sure we had everything we need. Both members of staff went above and beyond, this was the middle of the night and we were rather tired and stressed.

Great location for work, lovely big room, comfortable stay, really quiet despite the nearby roads and fan provided in hot weather as standard. All good.
