Ramsgate (Manston Airport) Hotel

Das Hotel ist ganz neu - praktisch um am nächsten Tag nach Dover zur Fähre zu fahren (30 Minuten). Nebenan gibt es noch ein Restaurant und ein McD.die Zimmer sind einwandfrei, praktisch, sauber und der Preis unschlagbar. Die Fenster kann man leider nicht öffnen - dafür ist die Schalldämmung gut - muss auch sein, da direkt neben an ein Flugplatz ist auf dem Frachtjumbos starten und landen.

Room was clean. This is Premier Inn, so you know what to expect. Food in the restaurant was poor and wished I had of visited a well known burger restaurant opposite. Location is outside of Ramsgate, but suited circumstances.

We booked this hotel at short notice and overall were very pleased with it however there were a few issues and as I can’t seem to find anywhere to tell anyone what they were I will put them here. There was only one bath towel in the room. The shower screen did not have a bottom seal and the showerhead was squirting water all over the place from above the head due to a faulty seal. It should be quite obvious to any area manager that the outside areas are filthy and quite obvious that where rain does not wash walls you do need to sweep them off once or twice a year. Other than that, the breakfast was lovely and we had no problems.

Wish I could say it was great stay ! Bathroom was filthy , bin was full of dirty earbuds , tissue paper and dirty knickers ! Sink was full of spit I paid for WiFi for the three days and didn’t manage to get a decent enough connection to work from laptop even though it was reported to the desk numerous times … Shower was broken it flooded the bathroom not just a little bit but full on flooded , that was also reported and nothing was done . On check out my partner asked if we could stay for a an extra hour due to me being epileptic I had suffered a seizure during the night and was struggling with a nasty headache following this and just wanted to lay down for a little while longer , he was met with and abrupt “ absolutely not possible “ Would never stay again

No complaints with our room, we had issues with the restaurant (Whitbread). Ordered some starters after arriving around 3.30pm, the chicken wings were a disgrace, no chicken on them whatsoever and cooked to a crisp. The breaded mushrooms were tiny. We were told that a change of supplier (cutting costs no doubt) this is what they have to serve. We sent them back and they gave us other starters on the house. The breakfast fruit also ran out by 10am (Breakfast was till 10.30am) and did not replenish, not enough staff on for a bank holiday weekend and they were really miserable. Come on guys up your game.
