Southampton West Hotel

L'hôtel est joli de l'extérieur, le parking est pratique et gratuit. La première chambre que nous avons eu était infestée de fourmis; après réclamation et attente on en a eu une autre qui donnait sur un mur de briques avec une lumière mais c'est mieux que des insectes... Le second jour la carte de la chambre ne fonctionnait plus c'était très pénible après une journée fatigante. La chambre est petite pour une famille de 4 mais fonctionnelle, les lits des enfants sont trop près l'un de l'autre mais pour un court séjour ça passe. Les enfants ont aimé les bonbons et le petit déjeuner était absolument parfait +++ le personnel était agréable. L'hôtel est bien placé, pas loin de paulton's park, et le restaurant pub à côté génial je le recommande!

We had 2 rooms both lovely and clean and friendly staff. Was busy being Easter but didn’t hear any noise from other guests. Like the fact you could help yourself to additional tea/coffee etc as needed as the room isn’t cleaned every day unless you request it. Would have liked a walk in shower personally. There is no lift but only one floor so wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some. Plenty of spaces in car park. Only ate in the eatery one evening for a quick snack, wasn’t the best but filled a hole. Popped in for a quick drink a couple of nights after a day out and wasn’t many in there. Plenty of good eateries and restaurants in nearby Romsey. Can thoroughly recommend the Turkish restaurant. I would definitely stay here again as family are nearby in Romsey.

Positives first, Location, we were staying here for two nights to visit Paultons park, only a few minutes drive, perfect. Breakfast, staff were friendly, food was being prepared and served constantly, with tables being cleared often. Negatives Cleanliness, lacking! Floors in room were filthy, dust caked on to walls, and liquid marks on walls and ceilings! Maintenance, honestly all areas of the hotel require a re-furb, mould in rooms and bathrooms making it feel damp and cold, carpet not properly fitted, dents in walls. Overall, it’s fitted its purpose for what we needed it for, but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Not the best stay. We’d a long 9 hour trip due to a car breakdown and was grateful to find a great free car park with plenty of spaces however after that our stay didn’t get any better. There was no warm welcome on reception, the two receptionist chatted amongst themselves during the check in process and I was only spoken to when asked for a signature and car reg. On arrival to our room it was clean and tidy however there was only one spare pillow instead of the normal two, the mirror was very tatty and the lights round the mirror didn’t work. I then had the most horrific night sleep - the mattress felt incredibly firm - I’m a regular guest of premier in a and actually stayed in a different location the night after this one and the two nights sleeps I had were hugely different! Overall a very disappointing stay and not up to the standard I have come to expect and enjoy as a premier inn guest!

The staff were nice and efficient. But the room smelt of mould had mould on the walls and dust caked onto the curtains. There was also a stain on the pillow
