Portsmouth (Horndean) Hotel

Assez facile à trouver, excellent accueil, chambre calme (coté parking) et propre. Literie excellent, salle de bains propre Le petit déjeuner se prend au Pub au fond du parking.

Excellent, the only drawback was no hand rail over the bath to help getting in out out.

This Premier Inn is poor value for money! I have to agree completely with the recent 2 star reviews. Our bed was very average- soggy and not to Lenny Henry’s standard. We had a very average nights sleep. The male receptionist who booked us in was far from enthusiastic and came over as miserable and not interested. The room itself was rather dowdy and again not worth what Premier are charging. We have stayed in Premier Inns many times over the years and this one needs going through and changing and some staff training done!

I recently stayed at the Premier Inn in Horndean. On the positive side, the hotel itself is accessible, and the staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, several aspects of my stay were disappointing. The bed was made up of two single mattresses pushed together, and both mattresses felt very worn and far too firm, which left my back much worse. The soundproofing is also poor. There was someone in the room above walking heavily for much of the night, making it difficult to sleep. This was particularly frustrating as I had a 200-mile drive home the following morning. Cleanliness could also be improved. There was a noticeable build-up of dust on the bedside lamps and other surfaces, and the bathroom sink tap had not been cleaned properly. The biggest issue for me, however, was access to the adjoining pub for food. Although the hotel itself is accessible, the route to the pub involves a very steep slope. As someone with disabilities, back pain, joint problems and breathing difficulties, I found it extremely difficult. I had to stop several times on the way back up, and I don't think the route would be practical for many wheelchair users or people with limited mobility. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed with my stay. While the hotel has accessible features, the uncomfortable bed, lack of sound insulation, poor cleaning and difficult access to the restaurant mean I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Very tired and dated bed very uncomfortable air con only goes to 19c no lower staff friendly but uninterested in any problems bedding very heavy on the starch would not recommend there are better stays nearby for similar cost
