Hôtel très bien situé à Colchester, à proximité du centre ville , des restaurants, des centres d' intérêt et du château.
La rue est calme et l'hôtel est très confortable.
Le restaurant est très bien
Nous sommes près des transports en commun.

Rob ci ha accolto da hotel a 5 stelle. Gentile premuroso e garbato oltre che super sorridente. Così come il simpaticissimo Kevin. La camera è ben Oltre le aspettative. Se è pur vero che si tratta di una Premium Plus, la qualità è molto superiore al costo. Dotata di ogni comfort tra cui macchina caffè Nespresso, bollitore, frigobar con 2 bottigliette in omaggio, asciugacapelli con specchio illuminato, ferro da stiro, tv piatta con tutti i canali, molte prese USB. Letto molto comodo. Albergo iper pulito in zona comodissima per Colchester centro. Colazione ottima all you can eat. Stewart, grande chef preparerà le uova a Vs gusto oppure dell'ottimo porridge.... si può scegliere tra continentale e internazionale. Assolutamente raccomandato.

"Good for families"
Brilliant value for money. Exceptionally clean room, bedding and towels. Beds were super comfortable and check in was effortless. Breakfast was the best and despite being a family with 3 children, we were accommodated throughout without issue. Highly recommend.

"Terrible customer service - not just from the Hotel itself but also head office guest services"
Very disappointing stay at Premier Inn Colchester Town Centre, particularly from a customer service perspective.
I’ve stayed in Premier Inns probably 50+ times over the years and have generally always been very happy, which is why this experience stood out so negatively. This was by far the worst Premier Inn I have stayed in regarding service.
The hotel itself was clean and tidy, so I cannot fault housekeeping or cleanliness. However, the service throughout the stay was genuinely diabolical.
We arrived around 10pm having booked a family room, only to find the spare bed for our daughter had not been made up and there was no bedding in the room. Reception was unattended and it took time to find anybody to help. Eventually I was handed bedding and had to make the bed myself late at night.
The room itself was also extremely noisy due to what sounded like loud air conditioning or ventilation, making it difficult to sleep properly. What makes this even more disappointing is that Premier Inn heavily advertises its “Good Night Guarantee”, yet despite acknowledging the issues raised, absolutely no compensation or goodwill gesture was offered at all.
I would also add that in all my previous stays with Premier Inn, I have never once needed to raise concerns about sleep quality or ask for compensation because I have always genuinely had good experiences. This is not a case of someone simply trying to get a freebie — I have been a loyal customer for years and have consistently chosen Premier Inn because of the reliability and standards previously experienced.
The breakfast issue was really just the tip of the iceberg in what was an overall poor customer service experience throughout the stay. There was absolutely nowhere displaying breakfast times either in the room, reception area or restaurant. I checked online beforehand and multiple results stated breakfast was served until 11am, so we arrived at 10:15am expecting to be able to eat, only to be told breakfast had finished at 10am.
In fairness, my previous Premier Inn stays have mainly been weekends, when breakfast does finish at 11am, so seeing that information online made me reasonably assume the same applied here. Without any information displayed anywhere in the hotel, there was no reason for me to think otherwise.
I was travelling with a hungry three-year-old and no alternative or assistance was offered whatsoever. The staff member did not even come over to speak to us directly and remained at the back of the restaurant.
At no point during our stay did I actually see anyone consistently present at reception. Whether arriving, trying to raise concerns during the stay, dealing with the breakfast issue, or even checking out the following morning, reception appeared to be unattended throughout.
A recurring issue throughout the entire stay was the lack of staff presence, meaning there was no opportunity to properly raise concerns in person and I was forced to submit feedback online afterwards instead.
What made this even more disappointing was the handling of the complaint afterwards by head office. In their initial response, they even suggested i was at fault for not raising the issues during the stay — despite the fact my original complaint clearly explained that I was unable to raise concerns properly because there was nobody available in the hotel to speak to. I found that response quite insulting, particularly given the circumstances.
While apologies were eventually given and the issues acknowledged, no meaningful resolution or reassurance was offered despite accepting that the service fell below expectations.
Unfortunately, after recently signing our company up to Premier Inn Business, this experience has seriously affected our confidence in using Premier Inn again for business travel. Despite many previous positive stays, this experience — and the lack of care shown afterwards — has genuinely left me feeling let down as a customer, and I will not be returning to Premier Inn in future.
A real shame after many years of loyal custom.

Great location, good brekkie, comfortable and really lovely staff. Special mention to Jess who was so helpful and made us feel so valued and welcome, she was a delight. Thank you.
