Hull North Hotel

Das Hotel liegt etwas abgelegen, es gibt zwar viele Parkplätze, aber mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist es etwas schwierig zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war groß, sauber und nicht zu warm. Das Bett war ebenfalls groß, hatte aber eine sehr harte Matratze, auf der mein Mann und ich beide Rückenprobleme bekamen. Das Bad war schön und sauber, leider gab es keine Dusche, sondern nur eine Badewanne mit Duschvorhang. Der Rand der Badewanne war so hoch, dass es für meinen Mann mit einer leichten Behinderung schwierig war, hinein- und vor allem wieder herauszuklettern. Mich wiederum störte vor allem die Tatsache, dass es nur eine Überkopfbrause gab, keine Handbrause. Schwierig, wenn man nicht jeden Tag seine Haare waschen will. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, alle unsere Fragen zu beantworten. Es kam sogar jemand zu uns ins Zimmer, um uns eine Information zu geben, die beim ersten Nachfragen nicht abrufbar war. Wir hatten Full Englisch Breakfast gebucht - und das war auch gut so, denn das Continental Breakfast bestand nur aus Cerealien, Croissants und ein paar süßen Gebäckstücken, Obst und süßen Aufstrichen. Keine Wurst, kein Käse - nichts in Richtung. Wenn man, wie nun mal in Deutschland üblich (und soweit ich weiß befindet sich dieses Land ebenfalls auf dem Kontinent...) herzhaft frühstücken möchte, sollte man die landestypische Option wählen. Dann gibt es zusätzlich noch Würstchen, Schinken, Bohnen, Tomaten und Champignons, Rösti und Black Pudding (eine Art Panhas).

Dieses Hotel hat saubere Zimmer! Das war es dann schon. Sehr hellhörig. Sehr, sehr einfach. Ein Mini TV, keine niederländische, französische, deutsche oder italienische Sender. Sehr spartanische Zimmer. Sehr kleines Bad ohne jegliche Extras.

I’ve stayed at over 30 premier inns up and down the country for work purposes and this as one as got good and bad points. The Good.. All the restaurant staff who work in the evening are very friendly and very polite and go above and beyond to make your meal enjoyable. The Bad.. The woman (Gollum) and the man (bad attitude) are 2 of the worst people I’ve ever encountered, my room kettle wasn’t working which I only found out in the morning of me checking out, I reported this to the nice ladies on reception as I checked out I asked if I could get a coffee from the restaurant they said yes… (now the bad attitude event starts) on going into the restaurant the woman who books you in for breakfast had a face of misery I explained that my kettle wasn’t working so can I have a takeout coffee.. the first words out of its mouth was “ kettle broke again” as she was walking away, which I found insulting as it was the first time I have stayed at hull north, so after waiting a couple of minutes her colleague came over and he said we can’t offer you a coffee as there are only so many booked in for breakfast which again I found very insulting, I explained to the him that it doesn’t matter if you have 50 in for breakfast 30 of them may have coffee and have 3 refills each, but unfortunately he just completely ignored my request, I will make a direct complaint to premier inn about these 2 miserable people which is a shame because the evening restaurant staff are fantastic.

Excellent friendly service and help from all staff. Recommend for a stay in the area, and good food adjacent..........
