Hull City Centre Hotel

Schrecklichstes Hotel, was ich je gesehen habe. Preisleistung stimmt überhaupt nicht. 103 GBP für ein Zimmer bezahlt, in dem es keine Heizung gab. Fenster waren undicht, für zwei Personen gab es nur eine Ausstattung Handtücher. Bett total klein, so dass man auf 1,50 m zu zweit schlafen musste, Ausstattung miserabel. Alles auf billigsten Niveau, obwohl der Hotelpreis alles andere als billig war. Ohne es genau zu wissen, glaube ich, dass das Gebäude nicht älter als 15 Jahre alt ist und es ist eine absolute Zumutung, was man bekommt für diesen wirklich nicht günstigen Preis. Ich kann jedem Gast, der nach einem Hotel schaut, nur vorschlagen und empfehlen lieber über private Reiseplattformen wie Airbnb nach privaten Unterkünften zu schauen, da diese meistens viel besser sind.

Ideale Lage zur Innenstadt; 10 Minuten zu Fuß! – sehr schneller Check in / Check out – sehr freundliches Personal – entspricht dem gewohnten Ibis-Stil: passende Zimmergröße, ansprechende Duschkabine, gutes Bett, super Internet – Frühstück im Buffet-Stil war sehr gut, verschiedene Heißgetränke mittels Automat – Parken ist ein Problem: in Parkhäusern in der Nähe; für mehrtägigen Aufenthalt: Car Park King William House , Market Place; 12 £ für 7 Tage! In 11 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar – wir buchen gerne wieder! Ideal location to the city center; 10 minutes on foot! – fast check in / check out - very friendly staff - corresponds to the usual Ibis style: suitable room size, appealing shower cubicle, good bed, great internet – breakfast in buffet style was very good, different hot drinks by machine - parking is a problem: in car parks nearby; for a multi-day stay: Car Park King William House, Market Place; £ 12 for 7 days! In 11 minutes walking distance - we will book again!

Be warned the hotel is named as City Centre, but is not actually in the centre. Booked a Premier Plus room. Pro's: coffee pod machine, armchair with footstool. Cons: only 1 hand towel; stray hairs in the supposedly clean shower, not pleasant; full length mirror was dirty with run marks down it. Fire alarm went off on Saturday morning at 6.30 in the hotel which woke us up, so got up to evacuate the room, and then it stopped. Received no explanation or apology, which was poor. Breakfast ok - usual self serve breakfast. Car park payable across the road from the hotel. Needs to improve especially if branding rooms as Premier 'Plus' and it's not.

Staff, friendly, helpful and polite Good standard of breakfast Bed and pillows clean and comfortable Toilet and sink cleam HOWEVER the bathroom floor looked like it could do with a good bleach or even renewing as did the bottom of the bath, I didnt ever walk on bare feet on the floor! There was also noted hot water to wash so I had freezing cold showers and I did let the water run for a considerable amount of time before I used it to see if it would warm up. The reception area, especially the floor seemed really grimey

We thoroughly enjoyed a two-night stay at Premier Inn Hull City Centre on 13 & 14 September. We were visiting Hull and East Yorkshire by way of a short break away. We booked a Premier Plus room because the price on our chosen dates was not much more than a standard room. The Premier Plus rooms were on the 12th floor and provided lovely views over the Humber Estuary and even as far as the Humber Bridge. The room, itself, was very modern and clean and the walk-in shower was especially nice. It had all the 'little extras' in the form of a coffee machine, pods and chocolates, a small fridge with complimentary still and sparkling water, a comfy chair and even an iron and ironing board. The air conditioning/heating system was effective but needed to be switched on in the room by asking at reception and, despite instructions, we found it difficult to adjust until a staff member provided assistance. We ate in the Thyme Restaurant on the first night and our meals - both main course and dessert - were very nice. My husband had a Mixed Grill, for which there was a small extra charge to the Meal Deal, but it was definitely worth it. We also had breakfast each morning which was a 'help yourself' buffet. All the usual breakfast items were available, including the hot items with a choice of fried or scrambled (or both) eggs. However, we felt that breakfast on the second morning was better than the first, probably because there were more people in the hotel on the second morning so the turnover of hot food was quicker. Just one point to bear in mind if visiting - there was a £7.70 per night car parking charge (register vehicle and pay at Premier Inn reception) but there was plenty of available spaces so parking was not difficult. Altogether a very enjoyable short break. We have stayed at this Premier Inn on a number of occasions in the past, including with grandchildren who are now adults themselves, and we would most certainly visit again.
