Bournemouth West Cliff Hotel

Have stayed a few times at West Cliff Premier Inn. Location is great, only a 10 minute walk to the beach. Underground secure car parking. The staff are friendly and helpful if needed. My only one negative is that none of the windows open to allow fresh air to enter, the same for the corridors to the rooms.

The hotel is in a great location, short walk to the town and the seafront. As expected the Premier room is good quality with a very comfy bed and good facilities. We always know what we’re getting with a Premier, hence why we always choose them. Small niggles: I love fresh air, even if it means I can only open the window a few inches as know safety locks are paramount. These windows do not open - however there’s an excellent air control in the room with air-con / heating, though the room did get a bit chilly in the middle of the night (will set it differently next time). I do prefer an open window but the air-con was a great alternative. Breakfast - wasn’t keen on the dining area compared to other Premier’s we’ve stayed in. This one is a little small and got quite busy / noisy. I’m vegetarian and there was no hot cooked veggie food ready so had to ask for it, then had to wait whilst it was heated up (was it microwaved)? The sausage was hard and rubbery and the vegan ‘bacon’ chewy too - you can’t reheat veggie food as it doesn’t fair well, it should be cooked and kept hot like the meat options. Again I’ve not had an issue with this at other Premier’s. Our room was lovely but we did find an empty plastic water bottle and a travel antiperspirant under the bed left by previous guests, so obviously the cleaning / checking hadn’t been done properly. Other than these minor niggles, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back as think this is our new favourite Premier in the town.

Modern Premier Inn and probably the best I’ve stayed in. Secure car park in the basement that costs £10 per day. Room quiet, clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Didn’t pre book a dinner reservation and at 7.30pm the next available table was in 75 mins so we ate in a Thai restaurant 7 mins walk away. Breakfast was excellent (chef Sheila). Ingredients high quality, perfectly cooked and presented and very hot. All staff very friendly.

As always the hotel was clean and the staff were helpful & friendly. We stayed for 4 nights which were all peaceful, cosy and relaxing. Breakfast was lovely as usual. Plenty of everything and all well cooked and presented. Andy remembered us from our last stay and stopped for a chat despite being busy, it's the staff here that make this such a great place to stay. Parking was secure and very competitively priced for the area. We had zero reasons to grumble all week. We will be back again and again. The best Prem Inn we've stayed in by a long way.
