Newquay (Quintrell Downs) Hotel

Auch dieses Premier Inn erfüllt die Erwartungen an eine Unterkunft in dieser Kategorie. Sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer und Bad in angemessener Größe und Ausstattung. Gute Betten. Ein idealer, preisgünstiger Übernachtungsort während einer Rundreise.

Zu diesem Hotel gibt es nichts besonderes zu sagen. Die Preise variieren zwischen 29GBP - 200GBP, je nachdem wie das Hotel gerade Lust und Laune hat. Ich hatte 2 Doppelzimmer mit Einzelbetten gebucht. Als ich meine Buchung vom Hotel bestaetigt bekommen wollte, war leider ueber den Zeitraum von mehreren Stunden das Telefon nicht besetzt. Wir wussten bis kurz vor Ankunft im Hotel nicht, ob das noch geklappt hat mit der Buchung. Als wir eincheckten, waren es anstatt der gebuchten Einzelbetten Doppelbetten, aber nachdem wir alle recht geschlaucht von der weiten Reise waren, sind wir einfach ins Bett gefallen und wollten nicht mehr an die Rezeption gehen um nach Einzelbetten zu fragen. Das Personal hat seinen Job gemacht, sagen wir es mal so. Check In und Check Out gingen problemlos von statten, Standardfragen wurden gestellt, ob man auch zufrieden war.

Nice location for getting around Newquay. Was greeted by a very dirty and rubbish filled car park. When we arrived just over an hour early, we asked if our room was ready, which is was but needed to pay £15 early check in. Never had this at another Premier and we stay in a lot of them. Room was clean and comfy. Very busy for breakfast, and no staff as apparently it is one that will be closing all together soon. One member of staff did a 12 hour shift.

Easy to reach by car plus local buses and train stops very close by. I picked this hotel as it was sway from Newquay town itself which I'm not fond of. Check in was handled well and overall the hotel was the usual good standard provided at all Premier Inn hotels. Room was slightly small than hoped and very little room between the foot of the bed and desk. Tea and coffee making facilities. TV and WiFi worked well. Bathroom was very clean, no issues. Really good size bath towel. Being away from the town and not in a particular busy road, it was extremely quiet. I had a very good night's sleep. I had breakfast and everything thing was as described on the menu in the bedroom. Vegan bacon and sausages cooked on request. No issues with anything at breakfast. Only minor point was the lift floor was very dirty and looks like that isn't cleaned as often as the corridors and other public spaces.

Lovely staff, comfortable room, ample car parking. Good breakfast. Only downside for me was the poor WiFi.
