Newquay (Quintrell Downs) Hotel

Auch dieses Premier Inn erfüllt die Erwartungen an eine Unterkunft in dieser Kategorie. Sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer und Bad in angemessener Größe und Ausstattung. Gute Betten. Ein idealer, preisgünstiger Übernachtungsort während einer Rundreise.

Zu diesem Hotel gibt es nichts besonderes zu sagen. Die Preise variieren zwischen 29GBP - 200GBP, je nachdem wie das Hotel gerade Lust und Laune hat. Ich hatte 2 Doppelzimmer mit Einzelbetten gebucht. Als ich meine Buchung vom Hotel bestaetigt bekommen wollte, war leider ueber den Zeitraum von mehreren Stunden das Telefon nicht besetzt. Wir wussten bis kurz vor Ankunft im Hotel nicht, ob das noch geklappt hat mit der Buchung. Als wir eincheckten, waren es anstatt der gebuchten Einzelbetten Doppelbetten, aber nachdem wir alle recht geschlaucht von der weiten Reise waren, sind wir einfach ins Bett gefallen und wollten nicht mehr an die Rezeption gehen um nach Einzelbetten zu fragen. Das Personal hat seinen Job gemacht, sagen wir es mal so. Check In und Check Out gingen problemlos von statten, Standardfragen wurden gestellt, ob man auch zufrieden war.

We had a really lovely stay, From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, spacious and had plenty of room for us. It was also really quiet, which made for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We also had breakfast in the morning and were really impressed. The staff were once again very friendly and helpful, and the food was great with plenty of choice. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We’ll happily stay again!

The breakfast was terrible the hot buffet was stone cold eggs rock hard the food had been standing for a long time and was very poor compared to how it has been previously when cooked to order

We stayed at Premier Inn Quintrell Downs in Cornwall for 4 nights. From 24/9/26. We have previously stayed here several times and have always had great experiences however this time was not great. Don’t get me wrong the room was fine and the bed was comfy so no complaints at all there other than the WiFi is shocking. We paid extra for the ultimate WiFi still had very little reception and network access.. this needs to be sorted. The main issue was the food. The restaurant attached used to be TableTable but as with Beefeater closing all restaurants including those attached to premier inns, TableTsble have done the same leaving the staff running the hotel also running the restaurant. Luckily we hadn’t prebooked our meals as to be honest the ones we did have there were atrocious. Breakfasts were cold, food kept running out and because the staff we also running reception, it took ages to replenish. There were cold options of yogurt and fruit but there was never any yoghurt certainly not worth the price they charged. We had one evening meal there and never again. Several items were missing off the menu, they struggled accomodating for a specific type of allergy, preferring to completely block any options that may have even the slightest chance of contamination, even though my partner had eaten the same items previously as he knew his specific allergy would not have been triggered, meaning his choice was limited right down and what did eventually come out was dry and obviously out of a microwave. Again I’m glad I hadn’t prebooked as I wouldn’t have been happy paying 27.99 each for the breakfast and evening meal deal based on what we ate. Overall the stay was ok (hence 3 stars) because we slept well but a pity about the other issues. Probably will look at other text time down.
