"Really great staff"
I really wanted to give a 5 as most of the staff were absolutely wonderful, especially Kasia, Julia, Jagoda, Tom and Valentina, but I had to give a 4 as there are a few issues that require attention and improvement.
The housekeepers do a really difficult job, but they do their job very well. Most of the people at reception also provide an exemplary service, being extremely helpful, considerate, kind, accommodating, understanding and caring.
The reasons I had to give a 4 were because:
1- when I requested an extra heater from the man at the night shift, he said they did not have any (without checking any of the store rooms) and thankfully the lady in the morning was a million times more helpful, empathetic, understanding, kind and friendly, and provided the heater that was very much needed because of a medical condition.
2- Unfortunately, that man at night and another man in the morning weren't answering the phone at reception, I tried very many times at different times.
3- Someone kept changing the temperature of the heating in the room remotely; I kept setting it over 20°c but it was being reset again & again to temperatures below 20°c such as 18°c & 14°c.
Because of these issues I should have scored a 3, but I could not do that as Valentina, Julia, Jagoda, Tom and the housekeepers (most especially Kasia) were overwhelmingly kind and helpful. They are absolutely brilliant stars who need to be recognised for how excellent they are, they did not just go the extra mile, but an extra 100 miles!
They are really great assets to Premier Inn.
Kasia does an excellent job, so do the others.
All the staff, except for the man at night and the man in the morning, were kind, helpful, considerate, accommodating, understanding, caring & friendly.
I highly recommend this hotel for a budget stay in Reading or even for London (as you can take the Elizabeth line to Central London).

We always stay at the Premier Inn Caversham. We go each April for my birthday and we love the hotel and staff. Tom is so friendly and thoughtful, i got a lovely birthday card from Tom and the staff on my birthday. It meant so much. I'll be booking again next year. Absolutely 10 out of 10. The Griffin is great for food and the breakfast in The Premier is fantastic. Thanks Tom 😁

"An excellent experience"
We were delighted with the room. It was comfortable, spacious and had great views across the Thames. I enjoyed making real coffee rather than instant. There was a fridge, which was handy for keeping our food for the return journey fresh. We had been disappointed that by booking well in advance we had got a worse deal than by booking just a week before our visit, and I had let customer service know about this. However, without telling me, they had upgraded our room to a premier plus. This was a very kind and much appreciated gesture. Thank you. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They happily provided us with extra coffee capsules and showed me how to use the machine. The breakfast was first class. The buffet had a good selection of fruit, yogurt, bread and pastries, and the coffee was excellent. The cooked breakfast was made to our exact requirements and was very good and not at all greasy. Service was first class, friendly and efficient and our meal was prepared and served quickly. We had a lovely visit and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
