It’s back for 2016 with a glittery long run and it’s always a thrill.
Snuggled beneath Chester’s beautiful cathedral, town hall and library, the market is a great opportunity to explore this historic city.
It’s a magical scene, with more than 70 wooden chalets selling gifts, cards and stocking fillers, many of them hand made in Lancashire.
You can mooch around the stalls with a mulled wine or hot chocolate in your hand, while the children sit down to some Christmas arts and crafts. You can also tuck into some delicious hot food, so there’s every reason to take your time.
