Glasgow Newton Mearns (M77 J4) hotel

While the room was clean and bed comfortable on arrival we were told the restaurant was closed that night fortunately there was a Hungry Horse Restaurant across the road which I will say food and prices excellent but would recommend you book a table as it gets very busy breakfast in the premier inn was average pick your own cooked food but the restaurant is very small for the size of the hotel queues for toast ,coffee or tea didn’t like it at all so that’s why I gave it 3 stars

Really great value hotel. The bed and room was very comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. I would say the breakfast was exceptional for the price, all the ingredients top quality and cooked to perfection. Would definately stay again

The experience was disappointing from the outset. Our initial interaction with the reception staff was frosty, and we were informed that the prepaid meal included in our booking was unavailable because the restaurant was closed. Although we were advised that a refund would be issued, we were reassured that breakfast would still be provided. We booked a breakfast slot for 10:00am, only to discover on arrival the next morning that there was no cooked breakfast available. This lack of communication was unacceptable, as we specifically arranged our morning around the allocated slot. Had we been informed at check-in, we would have made other arrangements and enjoyed a more restful morning. The situation was made worse by the poor Wi-Fi provision. Given the very limited mobile phone coverage in the area, access to reliable Wi-Fi was essential. Unfortunately, the quality of the connection was inadequate and detracted further from our stay. The Wi-Fi performance was also extremely poor and well below what would reasonably be expected in a modern hotel. As someone who stays away frequently for both business and leisure, I can honestly say the connection was among the slowest I have experienced in recent years. The speeds were almost comparable to the early days of dial-up internet, which is far below the standard a traveller would expect in 2026. Multiple speed tests carried out during our stay consistently returned results of around 1.96 Mbps download and 1.97 Mbps upload, making it difficult to browse the internet, stream content, or carry out basic online tasks. Given the limited mobile phone coverage in the area, a reliable Wi-Fi service was particularly important and its poor performance significantly impacted our stay.

Does what it says on the tin but with a very comfortable bed! Louise on the front desk went out of her way to deal with an issue we had.

Excellent property 👌 and Excellent staff to look after you 👍. Definitely recommend 👌 for family and anyone. Also breakfast on property is bonus. Don't need go anywhere
