hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh Royal Mile hotel

We stayed at Hub by Premier Inn (Royal Mile) for a few nights and were overall quite satisfied. The hotel is in a fantastic location—right on the Royal Mile and within walking distance to key attractions, restaurants, and the train station. The room was compact but smartly designed, clean, and perfect for a short city stay. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. One area that could be improved is the breakfast. While the porridge was warm, the overall warm and protein selection felt limited. Adding another protein and hot option—like scrambled eggs or ham—would really enhance the experience. All in all, this is a great spot for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and a modern feel in the heart of Edinburgh.

All hotel staff was extremely friendly, kind and professional. The location is just great, a few steps away from all the action (the Royal Mile is just 2 minutes up the hill), yet very quiet. The rooms is not very big but clean and comfortable with plenty space for storage including hangers. Would definitely stay again during my next visit to the wonderful Edinburgh.

I have to admit, walking into my mother’s and my Standard room did not strike me with much hope for our four-night stay! The room was small: no way around it. However, we made the best of things and the size of the room really didn’t hinder the enjoyment of our stay. Every inch of space was cleverly utilized to maximize storage; my mother and I each had a carry-on and full-sized suitcase and they tucked neatly into storage areas. The room was positively spotless, and the bathroom/shower area was a decent size with excellent water pressure from both shower head types. Location was excellent; just around the corner from the Royal Mile, it would suit anyone who is looking to spend their time in that area, and the hotel is also a short 15-20 minute walk to St Andrew Square, the bus station, and other scenic areas of Edinburgh. Excellent location to also access Waverley station. A good continental breakfast with unlimited tea/coffee was on offer each day for £6 per person. Staff we met were all polite, friendly, and keen to help. They also provided secure luggage storage while we waited for our time to check in, which was much appreciated. Thank you for a quiet, enjoyable, air-conditioned(!) stay!

Great great location and friendly staff. Coffee available 24/7 and reasonably priced for the season and location. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to the room size. The bed is fixed against the wall so that I had to crawl over my wife to go to the bathroom in the night. Smallest room I have ever stayed in.

One night stay in room 103. Hotel really convenient for Waverley and the old town. Check in was efficient despite the kiosks not working properly. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room itself was just what I had ordered- yes it is compact but the bed was extremely comfy, the air con worked really well and the building was very quiet. An excellent nights sleep- would definitely stay there again!
