Falkirk East hotel

So thought id provide my experience as it was my first one of the premier inn brand and we stayed at the one in Falkirk . trying to find it can be little confusing as no signs at the main roundabout We arrived and were greeted by ladies on the desk who explained breakfast and reception is small but presentable. we were placed on the ground floor however walking along the corridor the floorboards were sweeky. The room was lot better than i expected for one person. the bed looked and was comfortable some kinda odd looking couch with no pillows or anything with premier inn decor which was disappointing There was extra bedding under the bed and the room had two fans for some reason with pillow protectors on them. The tv has most channels which was handy had no clue how to work the temp thing on the wall as only was cold at 2am however the duvet was cosy and warm which helped. However the bathroom has a big mirror but decor and the Equipment is old and tired and rusty and looks more like its not been cleaned or changed in years. The sleep for me was awful as the person above was thumping the floor every time they moved from each side of the room till they left there room at like 6am so lack of sleep so best take earplugs if your a light sleeper. Kettle was rusty inside never used it due to this. seagulls are on location and will wake you up as a alarm. my room had some odd looking splashes on the ceiling unsure what it was. ---- Breakfast room is small and limited space for people however the breakfast is a buffet and had a lot which i was able to eat due to my diet requirements

The hotel room was very clean and smelled clean when we walked in,so thank you to the housekeepers! We paid early check in but unfortunately it wasn’t ready so we had to wait 2 hours to get into the room,after travelling over night it wasn’t really what we needed that was really the only downside we had,the breakfast which was lovely and I liked having the options,a can of coke was a bit expensive at almost £4!! We had a good stay thankyou Bob and the team!!

Absolutely appalling. Rooms were 28° when we arrived, when went to complain we were told that there was nothing we could do about it. The room had 2 fans in which just blew hot air around the room. We were visiting with 2 of our grandchildren with autism and we explained that our grandaughter would not cope with the heat and could we either have another room or move to a different hotel (despie having a sticker in the window saying that they support people with disabilities. After playing with his phone for a couple of minutes the manager of the hotel said the nearest hotel was Glasgow which after 5 hours traveling with 2 children with additional needs was not an option. We asked if we could eat in the restaurant and was told we couldn't book a party of 7 as there was only one chef and we would have to go in as a party of 4 and a party of 3, 15 minutes apart. There was no baby changing facilities and were told to go back to our room to change our grandaughter. We opted to walk elsewhere to get food. On arrival one of our grandchildren went under the bed to find a packet of opened peanuts and a child's car. There was a notice in reception saying that if water was required ask at reception for bottled water. We were told they had no water and to use the vending machine which cost us £2.75 a bottle, we had no choice but to purchase this as there were no glasses in the room to poor ourselves a glass of tap water. All in all a place to definitely stay clear of. A real disappointment to an otherwise great holiday.

Great hotel staff amazing rooms spotless and great location for a wedding we were going to the restaurant staff were great and food delicious

Hotel is in need of some cosmetic improvement. The available staff were lovely but it is short-staffed. The breakfast was cold on Saturday morning. The evening meal was hot and tasty and the meal deal is good value.
