Chichester South (Gate Leisure Park) hotel

The rooms in this Premier Inn really stink. We had a room on the ground floor. It stank of damp. We paid a lot of money to stay here. This hotel is not good value for money at all and there are better options in Chichester. Avoid and book elsewhere.

Business trip, I stay away regularly and going to start doing reviews. Hotel is on the older side and could do with some renovations but didn’t impact my stay. Staff are efficient but do multiple jobs. Plenty of free parking anywhere in the car park just remember to register your car at reception. Breakfast was lovely, seen other reviews where it says it’s not buffet, which is correct but it’s still all you can eat so order as much hot food as you want and can do as many orders as you want.

Great experience from start to finish, reception staff were very attentive especially Corrina, she was very knowledgeable about the area. The room was lovely and clean and breakfast was very good, we will definitely stay again as we have family who have just moved to the area, keep up the good work everyone.

This is the worst Premier Inn that I have had the misfortune to book and stay in. Thankfully I only stayed for one night. I couldn't take another night in this hotel. The stay was very disappointing and not value for money. My room had a terrible damp smell. Even with the windows open it would not disperse. There was a substantial amount of mould in the bathroom and a worrying stain on the carpet. I was placed in a ground floor room and could hear people moving about in the room above late into the night with some extremely creaky floorboards. The air con unit was very noisy and couldn't be used during the night. The bed in my room was very lumpy and uncomfortable making it difficult to sleep. The decoration in the room was sloppy evidenced by painting marks on the carpet where somebody had attempted to paint the skirting boards. This whole place needs knocking down and rebuilding. Breakfast in this place was awful. The breakfast was cooked to order. I had paid for a buffet style breakfast with unlimited options. I felt cheated that Premier Inn choose this route to serve customers. It is not what I booked and paid for during my stay. I am guessing Premier Inn are on a money saving exercise without thinking about keeping their customers happy to encourage a return visit. It really was a most disappointing visit. Premier Inn have really gone downhill. I will avoid all Premier inns in the future.

Had a really lovely stay at Premier Inn. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything was clean and comfortable. Sylvia was really helpful at reception and made the stay feel easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!
