Birmingham City Centre Broad Street hotel

I stayed at Premier Inn Broad Street. The welcome was wonderful so I decided to eat at the restaurant that evening - BIG MISTAKE!: ended up with diarrhea all night. Seems that the chicken skewers weren't cooked properly! I also found plastic in my cheesecake during dessert! Unfortunately the room was 24.5 degrees all the time and the thermostat seemed broken as it wouldn't lower the temperature, which left me roasting for two nights. Tried opening the curtains and window but the curtain rod was off the rail and so everyone would have seen inside my room. The staff were wonderful though and nothing was too much trouble.

Central location with a nice clean room. Decently quiet but some floorboards a bit creaky. Lad of reception was a good laugh anytime we spoke to him, seemed very busy running about the place.

Good location only 15 mins walk from New St Station, on the busy Broad street area but tuck off the main strip, clean tidy and breakfast was superb, onr of the best full English I've ever had, other options as well, not a big hotel, no bar in there which was disappointing as well meet once a year for a reunion but nice and quiet late at night, small carpark but that's normal in big city centres, good nights sleep and would stay there again

Stayed here the night before the European Athletics Championships marathon race around the city centre. Hotel is centrally located. Everything is within walking distance. Parking was good - as others have said, not much discount provided for hotel guests Hotel has NO air con. It was HOT. Hotel did provide a good fan and did advise that we could request more fans if required. Thankfully I had my own fan too anyway. It was unusually extremely warm, however summers are now due to be getting warmer. In hindsight, had I known there was no air con then I would have booked a different hotel for a summer stay for a family of 4 in 1 room. Surprisingly though, we did sleep reasonably well but in future I will always be checking the status of air con in any hotel I book for summer bookings

Located in the city centre, very close to the train station Atmosphere was good, quiet place to sleep Bed was comfortable and clean to sleep in Room provided was spacious, even compared to other hotels I've stayed in the past throughout the UK Parking was OK, it's tight and availability isn't the best. It does cost quite a bit, and discount isn't much to be honest Staff are kind and professional throughout but can't say anyone goes above and beyond
