Nottingham South hotel

I had a really great stay at this Premier Inn. The staff were incredibly helpful and made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. I especially enjoyed the breakfast — there was a good selection and it was a lovely start to the day. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Very convenient location just a few minutes drive from the National Watersports Centre. Very comfortable beds, as we’ve come to expect from Premier Inn, and very quiet room, which was particularly amazing as the hotel is right next to a main road.

Large free car park. Hotel looks run down from outside. Nice greeting from reception. Interior and room carpets are well worn and generally felt grubby. Bed as always very comfy.

I recently stopped at the Premier Inn Nottingham South, and I have to rave about the impeccable service from Patrycja and Dee. They are truly an asset to the company! From start to finish, they were attentive, polite, and went above and beyond. The rooms were spotless, with everything in perfect order, including the bathroom. The bar and restaurant, where Patrycja and Dee served me, were run to the highest standard—the food, the service, everything was consistently top-notch. I can’t recommend them or the hotel enough—absolutely fantastic!

My stay at Premier Inn Nottingham South was genuinely frustrating. The biggest issue wasn’t just the cleanliness—it was the attitude of the reception staff. When concerns were raised, the response was immediately defensive rather than helpful or solution-focused. There was no sense of accountability or willingness to acknowledge that standards might not have been met. I was told that, because this is a “budget hotel,” certain expectations shouldn’t apply. This included basic things like having a clean room after servicing. Apparently, unless you specifically itemise every single task (such as cleaning the bathroom or replacing used crockery), it won’t be done. Even after requesting room servicing, simple expectations weren’t met—a dirty cup wasn’t replaced, and cleanliness overall was lacking. Being told that this is normal for a budget hotel is simply not acceptable. Regardless of price point, guests should be able to expect a clean room, fresh crockery, and a bathroom that has been properly attended to. The dismissive and defensive attitude from reception made the situation worse. A more understanding and customer-focused response would have gone a long way. Poor experience all round
