Newark hotel

Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding in Newark. Although the hotel is a little dated, it was perfectly clean and had all amenities required. The staff were very helpful. The only small issue I had was the quality of the breakfast. The cooked food was quite cold and the pasties, bread etc not replenished at all. The breakfast was included in the room price as an offer but if I had paid extra for breakfast I would have felt the need to complain. That said, I would stay again but get breakfast somewhere else.

If you are thinking of staying at the Premier Inn Newark don’t!!! Since the restaurant has been closed to all but guests staying at the Premier Inn the whole experience of staying at this horel in Newark has plummeted!! The restaurant only opens for part of the day and if you arrive and want to meet up with family or fiends you will find this impossible. While your checking don’t expect a warm welcome because you won’t get it!! Everything is to much trouble!! If you go to the bar/restaurant don’t expect a range of drinks because when we stayed they were out of everything No IPAs, no bitter and very few lagers. Same with the food menu. Best idea was to ask what they had got because they hasn’t got my first three choices!! We were a party of twelve in total we were intending to have a family get together in the Premier Inn but actually spent the evening in another local establishment who made us feel so very welcome and where we spend quite a bit of money. I would not be surprised to find this Premier in closed down soon as once you’ve stayed there once you wouldn’t go again.

A clean, well managed hotel in a very convenient location. Restaurant attached to the hotel and fast food options also available over the road. Room was a good size with a big tv! Very clean and quiet. Staff at the front desk were welcoming and friendly. Would recommend a stay here.

Location was convenient and clean and tidy hotel. Friendly staff. However a few concerns, firstly the price £142 for 1 night, nearly as expensive as London and then had to pay for car parking on top. Secondly was no heating in room, had a thermostat/aircon panel but apparently that room didn’t have it and then heater on wall didn’t work. Finally no safe for valuables, admittedly I didn’t check beforehand but thought that was fairly standard and not a cheap room. Will try somewhere else next time I stay in the area.

We have stayed at this premier inn on several occasions. It’s always been clean and tidy and the staff always welcoming and helpful Abbey could not have been more helpful and friendly going above and beyond. All in all a thoroughly pleasant experience
