Wirral (Childer Thornton) hotel

Very nice hotel. Have building work going on at minute but this had no effect on us what so ever. Easy check in and friendly staff. Nice big room for the 4 of us. Had big Tv, coffee making facilities, hairdryer, fan. Complementary breakfast due to building work. Good choice of cereal, pastries,porridge and fruit and tea coffee and orange juice. Have nothing bad to say about our stay.

Great nights sleep for a good price, all of the staff were accommodating. Will be great when the restaurant is open!

The staff very very attentive and couldn’t fault them. Check-in was very quick, we had two rooms, one should have been in the annex, the kind helpful lady changed this so we both had rooms in the main hotel. But that’s where it ends, have stayed here a few times before, this time was just unpleasant. Bedding and bathroom were clean. As you walked I to reception the rank smell of damp hit you Two of the 3 lights in bathroom didn’t work Bed side light didn’t work Carpet, well I had to wipe my feet in way out! So many holes in curtains Only one towel bath towel, so had to ask every day for a clean one. No restaurant facilities at all now, due to the refurbishment, they offer a free continental breakfast, which was ok for on the go. Outside flag stones are all uneven, vegetation needs cutting back. It’s just. Very old tired miserable hotel that I don’t think was worth the price we paid Will not stay again
