Wirral (Childer Thornton) hotel

There was substantial building works being undertaken to build or refurbish the restaurant so no onsite dining was available but a continental style breakfast was available by self service in the reception area. Adequate parking was available even though builders had taken over some of the spaces. I was a solo traveler and had no complaints about room or service. The shower used mixer taps over the bath and was easy to adjust for temperature and volume of water. I could not adjust the mixer tap to use for the bath but am not sure whether that was due to design or if I just needed some instructions. The curtains were not in pristine condition but that was not an issue and possibly they may be due for renewal in the second stage of refurbishment. Complimentary tea coffee and milk was freely available at reception in addition to that supplied in room. Would stay here again. All in all a pleasant stay.

We had a lovely stay! All the staff were very polite and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Definitely one of the nicer premier inns I’ve stayed at. Would definitely stay again.

it was amazing the staff are so lovely and you can tell they take a lot of care and pride in there business and making sure the rooms are immaculate. would definitely come back again 😊

When we spend time in ellesmere port we always stop here, great rates, comfy beds and they do all they can to look after you, tonight for example we got a Chinese and Charlotte went out of her way to sort us plates and cutlery , very polite nice lady. Would highly recommend for a good value place to stay.

Awful room absolutely disgusting , bathroom lots of mild and dirt . Bedding full of stains . Staff were lovely and apologised , but nothing they could do . Complained to premier inn they were not interested at all . Disgusting! They don’t deserve customers . Clearly once they’ve had your money there not interested sadly .
