"Brilliant staff member, warm and welcoming!"
I brought my mum from Southampton to liverpool for her birthday, we were warmly welcomed by caleb and we chatted about my mum being beatles mad and he was fantastic at giving us information and maps to make the most of our day i then chatted to him again the next evening and he remembered me and despite being in the middle of something made time to chat away again. Caleb was friendly and helpful and made our stay much more enjoyable. He is a credit to the team at premier inn albert docks and we hope to make it back one day!

"Day Tripper... well, two actually. A two-nighter in the very heart of the North West's most vibrant city."
A comfortable and affordable stay in an iconic setting. The Docklands of the North. A converted warehouse was a first, but hopefully not the last. Comfortable rooms, excellent food and service, and all within arms reach of Liverpool's waterfront - and within easy walking distance from the city's famous landmarks. The staff were excellent, with Famous Faye and Caleb making the whole gig look totally effortless. If you're a Beatles nerd, then this really is the place to stay. Marvellous!

"The first Premier Inn I've ever had to complain about"
As the title says, this was the first Premier Inn I've had to complain about.
I've stayed here before and that time it was fine (it was about 3 years ago though) - sadly this time was just wrong.
Firstly, the room we were given had no heating in it and it was freezing. Asked at reception and they eventually sent a guy up to have a look at it. He did what he could but sadly couldn't get it going. Another long wait - and again eventually we were given another room with some form of heating.
Taking into account we were only there for one night (check in at 3) and this process took just over 2 hours or so to complete - we kind of wasted a lot of the brief time we had there.
Also, even though the space on reception was more than enough to accommodate it, there were no self check units. We were lucky and got there just before the check in time and so got straight in, however I noticed later the queue to check in was stretching out the door. Surely some self check in units would take the pressure off the reception staff?
In the morning, the queue for breakfast was huge - so we gave up on it (even though we'd paid) and walked round the corner to The Brasco Lounge - which was pretty much empty and much better.
From what I gather from chatting to the brilliant guy who sorted the room out and tried to fix the heating, they were woefully understaffed. The hotel needs a fair few quid spending on it before I'd stay there again.

"Extremely disappointed and full of excuses"
Picked this hotel due to location. Travelled with my 8 year old son. Arrived at hotel and checked in as normal. Went to room and had to clean toilet as the seat was yellow with sticky pee marks, filthy. Couldn't report this prior to cleaning as son had to use the toilet so cleaned it myself. Room was cold but left to go for a walk get food. Back at hotel for the night, tv channels werent working, only radio channels and the WiFi wasnt working in the room, tried to pay for premium WiFi to see if it work for my son. Nothing was working in room 122 - the far back corner. The room was still freezing and realised the air con was blowing out cold air even though it was turned up to 30 so turned it off. Went to reception to query this and was offered free premium WiFi code but told reception this wasnt the issue and i already tried to pay extra for the premium but was useless as signal wasnt getting to the room - son left with no Internet on tablet. Reception advised maintenance wasnt available but reception would call up to check it out...they never arrived. Next day the same issues but the tv was working by the evening. Freezing cold room with no Internet. Contacted hotel privately and offered the lamest apology and stated they will take this on board. Says they have no record of me going to reception, I advised them to check cameras but says because no notes were taken of complaint they cant do anything but hope to see me back in the future. No chance. They also advised they had a note on website to advise the aircon wasnt working in all rooms - why was it not advised at check inn...who looks at the hotel website at check in? Paid £380 for 2 nights and it was extremely poor. Son was dressed for the arctic just to go to bed!

"Lovely stay disappointing room"
Excellent location for the M&S arena and we have stayed here before in a family room with view and it was fantastic unfortunately this time I can’t give the excellent reviews I’ve always written and until this stay I’ve never had a negative word to write, the room was clean and the beds so comfy but also the room was very tired, around the sink had chunks taken out it , one of the walls had a good size paint damage which someone had obviously tried to paint over but not very successfully and they had painted over the wooden skirting board it looked a mess , one of the curtains was hanging off and the others were very hard to close , a bedside wall light was hanging off and the heating wasn’t working so the room was freezing when we got there they had left a small electric heater but as the room was large made no impact at all you could only feel the heat while standing next to it. As I said I’ve only ever given positive reviews for all the Premier Inns we have stayed in and I’m not one for pettiness but this is an honest review of the room and we were very disappointed not with our stay the staff are lovely just in the room and I wouldn’t pay the extra for the room with a view at this hotel it most definitely wasn’t worth the money , the room was 224
