Ross-On-Wye hotel

We recently stayed in a large family room whilst visiting family in the area. Check-in was speedy, friendly and hassle free, with the receptionist explaining about the car park registration. The room was very spacious even with beds for 4 people in it. It was clean and all the amenities needed for the stay including tea/coffee, hairdryer and large TV. The bathroom was bright, clean and offered the option of both bath and mixed use shower. The breakfast was good but the poor girls working were under a lot of pressure with being short staff. They was trying their best but cooked breakfast was a little wait and some tables hadn't been cleaned. The choice and quality of the food was good Check-out was quick and easy, just drop the keys in a box We have already booked our return visit next month to visit family again

Room good. Staff helpful and friendly. Downside is the restaurant. No chicken and no fish including prawns which made the menu very limited as my wife has to avoid certain spicy foods. Also don’t want to eat burgers or pizza otherwise we would go to a fast food place. Apparently it has been like this over last few days. We should have been warned of the limited menu when booking meal deal before arrival. May not be booking Premier Inn again. Breakfast good.

Their workers are racist..Very shameful and timid

The room was OK and the food was acceptable but not remarkable. The staff were obviously overworked, and unable to cope, reception was perfunctory on arrival, and at breakfast there were tables left uncleared. Although the hotel web site, and a large sign on the driveway at the entrance state "free parking" the reality is very different. Apparently, there are other signs on the car park that guests are expected to be aware of. These state free parking is dependent on vehicle registration with reception. Failure to pick up on this misleading situation will land you, like me, with a fine. Underhand and sharp practice like this does nothing positive for any business.

Good location for an overnight break on a long drive, just off the M50. The car park was almost completely full, so we expected the staff to be very busy, yet they were calm, friendly and helpful at all times, including carrying a heavy case up and down stairs for me. Our room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable, quiet unless you want the window open. Downside was there was only one chair and a very small table. Clean bathroom with bath with rainhead shower over. Downside there was no demountable shower attachment for rinsing hair in the bath (or ladies' privates). Had to wait a little while for food, but not unreasonably long, and it was very good when it came. Allergy info was quickly and cheerfully provided. Excellent value! I've been there before and shall probably go again.
