Southampton West hotel

Generally the hotel looked like it could do with a refurb. Room and corridors were not cleaned properly. We had dust on top the headboard which also had stains on it as did the duvet. Some of the full English breakfast items were not available. Good points - Lots of free parking spaces available and handy for Southampton ports.

Stayed for 2 nights, overall the hotel was nice but tired in places, wallpaper scuffed in the corridors, bathroom in areas were rusty and mouldy. The bed was super comfy as was the pillows but the fan in the room has never seen a duster. Breakfast was nice, little pricey considering you could go to the pub next door for less money (which we didnt so cannot comment on their quality) staff in restaurant were very happy and helpful. On our first night we came back to the hotel around 11pm and work vans with no blue badge were parked in the disabled bays, as I am disabled I had to park around the front where the pub had disabled pay and walk, we did inform the receptionist who didnt seem bothered, which is annoying considering car reg is given when signing in so they would know which guest and which room they were in, to me that person should have been woken up to move their vehicle. Would stay as the rate per night is responsible.

Seek any alternative. No air con (as advertised) and terrible family room next to a late pub garden. Worst sleep I have had in a long time.

Have stayed at many a Premier Inn but this establishment is not to the standard you'd expect. Tired is an understatement, this place is exhausted! It's dirty, musty and dusty. Would avoid at all costs until a major refurb. The outside is a dire as the Inn. Parking up, litter, crumbling walls and metal window covers wasn't reassuring.. The staff were pleasant, as always. Come on Premier, sort this building out! Very poor value for money. Breakfast was chaos and limited space. Room dirty and musty.
