"Plenty of parking and clean functional bedrroms and en-suites"
A little out of the centre of Stroud Town but attached to a Harvester Restaurant.
Tghis is a typical Premier Style Inn with clean bedrooms, comforable beds and ensuite shower room. Only downside was that we arrived at 10.30pm after a concert and to get a drink to be told the barr was closed. Apart from that the staff were friendly and helpful particuarly the breakfast lady.

"Parking issue"
The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. My issue was with the parking company they employ to manage the carpark. I got a parking fine for the 2 minutes it took parking the car to registering it at reception. The PCN states parking without permits from 17:28 to 17:30. Please be aware of these cowboys. My car was parked at the hotel until 08:00 so they knew it was registered and we were a guest at the premises

"An ‘okay’ stay."
The front of the building is pleasant and it is an easy walk from the station. We arrived a little early and were told if we wanted to check in before 3pm it would be £15 so we chose to have a drink in the beer garden under the willow tree which we enjoyed. We had problems with contactless pay when checking in and we saw other couples with this problem too, so something to bear in mind.
The inside of the building/corridors/staircases is a bit shabby but fine. No lifts that we were aware of so something to bear in mind if you struggle with mobility.
As soon as we entered our room we were disappointed. There was a large rip in our net curtain, which as the window is the first thing you see as you walk in (and the solid brick wall view), did not set off a good impression. When I entered the bathroom there was pubic hair on the wall and in the shower as well as long black hairs. I immediately went downstairs to reception where the woman working was very helpful. She informed us the hotel was fully booked so we couldn’t change rooms but did come up and try her best to sort the bathroom, end though this isn’t her job. We were very grateful for this.
Breakfast on our first morning was cold but much better the second day. They do eggs to order which is a nice touch. Myself and my partner both found the sausages to be of poor quality and did not taste good, but he and another friend in our party found the black pudding to be delicious.
We found the staff to be good and the gentleman on check out was also helpful and kind.
Our stay overall was fine. We were were visiting the area for a wedding and it did the job. However, for the price, (which was approximately £300 for two nights) I would be wary of recommending this hotel to others due to the lack of cleanliness.

"Fine for what it is"
Stayed over for a friend's wedding and it is in good walking distance of the town. Reception was welcoming, got our key cards quick. We were in the basement room which was ok but you can see people walking past who could look in (but it wasn't too busy so that was good). Bed super comfy, can't fault that. Bathroom was an ok size, but the toilet is too far from the loo roll? Towels were nice and fluffy and shower was hot but I prefer hotter. Lovely baylis and Harding shower gel and hand wash.
Sadly wouldn't recommend the breakfast. Selection was really lacking which is odd because usually premier inn do great breakfasts. Can't fault the staff at all, lovely and friendly and welcoming although they could be hard to find sometimes

"Wasn’t welcome."
I had an assistant dog with me who is a recognised assistant ESA that I was challenged on by 3 different members of staff which I provided my ESA support card and certificate and the 3rd Staff Member on the desk on the 12th April 2026 at 10:25am told me I’m not allowed to stay in this hotel in future as my dog isn’t a dog for the blind, and she won’t accept my ESA support card or the certificate but the previous two members of staff said it was fine when I presented my evidence. The third staff member was incredibly rude. If Premier Inn could contact me that would be great otherwise I won’t be staying at any premier inn premises again. It was a good stay until I was told I wasn’t welcome upon checking out.
