"Nightmare"
The accessibility room was compete nightmare bed to low double zipped mattress was two levels caused me major back problems and pain only one pillow bed to low had trouble getting up causing leg issues room to small to navigate around wheelchair or small mobility scooter in corridors to narrow to turn around or into room easily automatic shutting doors not good when in own trying to enter when doors keep shutting in you Can’t put keycard in light slot to turn lights on when trying to get in room when you need the keycard to gain access as the door kept closing before had a chance to juggle everything to eve enter too. I had to switch rooms to a family room to get that wasn’t much better still at least had proper mattress and had to have a strip wash as it had a big bath and shower was over the bath. Duvet was damp in second room asked for it to be changed but it wasn’t hard to find someone late at night to sort it after I returned being out late couldn’t get the air conditioning right room ended up to cold despite the hot day being partially sighted didn’t help. Hh A warning about them testing fire alarm would have been good plus they need to tell you they don’t clean the rooms during your stay unless your stay is over a wee then they will clean it once a week. Trash bins left full food rotting in the heat overhaul of coffee etc. your paying a lot of money just tio sleep in a bed. I had to leave a day earlier as I was in so much pain I was struggling to stand but it wasn’t all premier I my buggy broke down while I was staying there and had to walk more than I physically could . My trip wasn’t a happy one I came down to visit family especially my father who sadly passed away while I was there I wanted to stay longer to be with my mum and family but because of the pain and having trouble even standing I had to come home.
"ABSOLUTELY PERFECT"
What can I say other than I’m shocked at how absolutely perfect the staff are here they truly are amazing made my trip so much more easy and comfortable from checking in they knew I had driven a long way so gave me a room far away from noise so I could get very important rest then staff checked I was ok if there was any thing at all they could do to help me then we have breakfast WELL what a truly magical team never have I had such amazing friendly service from start to finish making sure every part of my morning was started ok and them they take time to see how you are they just go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as perfect as all of there smiles never will you see a member of staff not smiling THANK YOU SO SO MUCH . Nikki Richard chantel liz and Giulio you truly are gifts from God and the Hotel is extremely lucky to have you .
"Great stay"
All nice & clean, staff very helpful & friendly towards us. Breakfast was really good & my wife is a vegetarian so we asked for none bacon & veg sausage etc & they were very accommodating, very good location a short walk into Chelmsford city centre with all the bar’s & restaurants, plus the bar at the hotel was also good. We have stayed here a few times & never had a bad stay to date for sure 👍🏼
"An Inferior Inn....."
I have stayed in several Premier Inns over the years all over the country, but the one in the Chelmsford city centre was the least attractive and an unexpectedly inferior experience. A certain anonymity is to be expected in a hotel chain, but they've really over-done it here.... The entrance from the street is a grim, unwelcoming space, with no chairs or other friendly features, Reception on the first floor. If you can call it that - no proper check-in area, with a separate counter manned by a member of staff. Guests here are met by a couple of digital screens, neither of which was working well when we arrived - about 40 minutes before the official check-in time. Although our rooms were apparently ready, there would be a charge of £15 each to enter them early: a truly disgraceful add-on, never encountered before. Especially as the charge for the overnight stay was £120 per room.... Our rooms were clean and the beds comfortable - as usual - but the shower was surprisingly old-fashioned, a high-set, inflexible fitting - perfect for the tall and bald, but making shampooing for the rest of us an awkward affair. There were no 'do not disturb' signs in our rooms ( a privacy issue) though when this was mentioned, they did later appear in the corridors..... As for breakfast, the advertising material invites the guest to 'sit back and relax', which implies some sort of service. But no - coffee had to be queued for, at a single machine. My son did not have a 'guaranteed rest' - party-goers in the adjacent room made an uninterrupted sleep impossible. Although someone did come up and ask them to quieten down, the noise later resumed. It wasn't possible to process a refund on the premises and it was a real hassle- including a long phone call to a centre somewhere 'outsourced' - to get an apology and assurance that one would be forthcoming. Something's gone wrong here - new management, perhaps, who've lost sight of the guest side of a hotel stay? If so - it's cost-cutting at too high a price.
"Lovely stay"
