"Very well located in an attractive town"
This was a one-night stay in a premier plus room on the top floor overlooking the car park in front of Sainburys with the leisure centre across the road. As ever the plus room is just right – functional rather than well appointed – comfy bed – but not as comfy as the Hypnos – decent air conditioning that kept the room comfortable even in a heat wave – efficient fridge with water and chocolates – kettle and separate coffee maker – USB points next to the bed – small restaurant – buffet breakfast – eggs to order – parking immediately outside of the hotel As ever the wi-fi is one of Premier Inn’s weaknesses and so it continued to be here – we couldn’t connect to the Premier+ service – so we either used the slower free version or hot-spotted using our own mobile account. This hotel is well located – big Sainsbury’s on the doorstep – short walk from the shops and restaurants and Penrith’s main attractions – we ate dinner at La Casita in Queen Street – this is a tapas restaurant that comes recommended. As ever the staff were welcoming, engaging, and ensured that we had everything we needed – we could have stayed longer and would recommend – thank you.
"Expensive and basic"
Very basic for the price we paid. I requested a walk in shower and never received a reply and on arrival no walk in shower. I was later told there is only one room with one in hotel. Requested a towel change for second day and not done. No food available on first night due to no staff
"Thanks Phoebe"
Me and my two daughters arrived at the hotel and was greeted by Phoebe, who was polite and informative. My daughters absolutely loved her. The hotel was clean and easy to navigate. Thanks again Phoebe for making our stay as great as it could have been. Michael
"Generally okay but let down by the no-show by the "chef""
Good location and useful that we could park right outside. Comfortable bed and clean room. However, it would have been nice if the "chef" had turned up the morning that we were due to depart as we would have liked to have a cooked breakfast before a several hundred mile drive up to our next destination on the west coast of Scotland. Apparently, the "chef" neither turned up nor rang in explaining his / her absence. Very poor form and disappointing that Premier Inn didn't have anyone else available who could cook sausages, eggs and bacon....!!
"Fabulous breakfasts"
Really nice short stay, staff were so friendly especially the lad on reception, (even commented on how smart we looked for our wedding). Breakfast was superb, rooms really clean and modern. We liked it that much were gunno come back later in the year.
