Bishop Auckland hotel

I've stayed in many Premier Inn hotels but I can honestly say that this is one of the most pleasant experiences I've had. The staff was very friendly and helpful with tips to see and do around Bishop Auckland. The room was clean and comfortable and everything I expect from a Premier Inn room. You can never go wrong with a Premier Inn.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels around the country due to work, and I can honestly say Premier Inn Bishop Auckland is one of my favourites to stay at. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I did have an issue during the first couple of nights as the HDMI port on my TV wasn’t working, but the staff dealt with it really well and moved me into another room, which I really appreciated. When we first arrived, the restaurant was still operating as Brewers Fayre before transitioning over to Premier Inn’s own restaurant. The Brewers Fayre food was absolutely beautiful and the menu had a really good selection. The new menu is good too, although personally I preferred the old Brewers Fayre menu. Overall, I’ve really enjoyed staying here. The staff have always been welcoming and polite, the food has been good, and any issues have been dealt with quickly. With the amount of travelling and hotel stays I do for work, this is definitely one of the places I’m always happy to come back to. Would definitely recommend! 👍

Excellent hotel. Great size family rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly. Great location for surrounding area, Kynren, Beamish, Angel of the North and Durham. Situated near some handy shops and food options

Anothe excellent stay, fantastic staff, great room, comfy bed, free and plentiful parking. Had to wait 10 minutes for hot breakfast buffet to open which was a bit odd as breakfast was supposed to be 7-11 and we arrived at 8:20am and other people already seated were eating a hot breakfast, there was no explanation given!

Booked a Premier room for the aircon and walk in shower. Entered room to find it grubby with a dirty table, crumbs on chairs, urine stains and worse on WC, and we found the next day the fridge wasn’t working, ruining our supplies. Aircon worked well but the noise it made was untenable; it sounded like ten baths being filled and emptied simultaneously. Awful - who signed this off? Room was really poky, too, and the double bed is too small for two people - there is room for a five foot mattress so fit them, please. Restaurant has limited menu as it will close in September. Vending machine in reception not working. Purpose of the bowl standing lamp unclear; it clutters the room (which is lacking space anyway) and provides no useful light. Staff are friendly and helpful and parking is good.
