"Brilliant place to stay"
I was the bride to be staying the night before my wedding. I had family and wedding party guest staying that night in other rooms and also other guests were staying on the following night. The staff were all amazing - we were treated lovely and I was made to feel special. Best premier inn I have ever stayed at - breakfast was lovely - rooms were great - staff friendly and welcoming - excellent place thoroughly recommend
"2 night stay for hubbies birthday week."
Fabulous stay with such lovely, friendly staff. I went down to get a jug of ice and asked Tony.....(Benson Boone) sorry tony I still stand by my Benson Boone look a like. Asked about the voucher for the wi fi and he even remembered our room number. Lovely birthday drink for my husband with our dinner. thank you so much. Breakfast was also good, poached eggs and porridge brought to my table, very good thank you. We can't wait to come back. Had a beautiful walk into cambridge by the river we even found the pub we came across years ago called The Mill. Walked back along the river and stopped at another pub and watched the world go by. THANK YOU ALL AT PREMIER INN.
"Stuck in the past."
The breakfast is good and always has been. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was noisy, I changed room once due to a rumbling noise which was present in both rooms and all along the corridor I stayed on. For reference, the noise stopped around midnight, I suspect it may have been related to the air conditioning. The Wi-Fi is abysmal, calling an 8 Megabit connection "Ultimate Wi-Fi" and charging £5 per day for it is outrageous. This has been the case since I last stayed in a Premier Inn 7 years ago and it was slow by 2017 standards. Unfortunately due to the construction of the hotel, I could barely get any 4G signal, otherwise, it would have been less of an issue and I could have used my phone as a mobile hotspot. This effectively renders the hotel useless for business customers. The TV is small, not a smart TV and had extremely limited channels (no Netflix etc). Once again, this is something that I would have expected 10 years ago but not in 2025. Premier Inn should: Provide a proper fast 100 megabit or faster connection for free (this is just a given in 2025 when most people have access to this speed from their phones. Investigate what causes such poor 4G phone signal in your hotels. Update your entertainment systems in the rooms with new, large smart TV's with built in Netflix, Prime video, iPlayer etc. Overhaul the air conditioning systems to remove the awful, omnipresent, low frequency rumbling present in the rooms (I work in lots of large public buildings and stay in other hotels and this is a non issue everywhere else).
"Great staff member"
We were staying at the Premier Inn at Ring Fort Road in Cambridge but unfortunately they were not taking meal bookings due to a shortage of chefs so we booked our evening meal at the Premier Inn Newmarket Road Cambridge . We were met by Anjum who couldn't do enough for us. He was very pleasant and polite and was a credit to both himself and the company.
"Excellent customer service"
Tony on the reception was amazing, we had a problem with our room, he was so kind and sorted everything out. Nothing was too much trouble. He really went out of his way for us.
