"Horrific, truly horrendous."
This is going to sound a bit extreme, but DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
There are fundamental problems with this Premier Inn.
I booked this Premier Inn because it was close to my business conference venue. I will NEVER stay here again. I am also telling everyone in my business network not to either.
Firstly, on booking, there was zero mention of a £27 per night charge for parking. Yes £27!!! Being disabled I cant park too far away from.the hotel, and I wont be alone. It is prejudicial against the disabled. Do not stay here, Castle Marina is free parking, something I only found out about after arriving.
Secondly, theres never any staff on reception, you can press the buzzer and stand there for half an hour like I did, and then just leave like I did, without speaking with anyone.
Thirdly, the place is filthy, absolutely filthy, I have pictures! The room was filthy, rotten food under the bed, tops covered in dust, and a clump of what looks like someone else's pubic hair in the sink when you brush your teeth. Chips scattered all over the hallway that were there for two days. I watched Sophia, the waitress, in the restaurant 'clean' the tables. She didn't move anything, she cleaned around menus, sauces etc, and the tables were left sticky and worse than they were before she arrived. Again, I have pictures.
The breakfast is appalling, dried out mushrooms, shrivelled sausages and rubber eggs, that was at 8am in the morning.
The air-conditioning in the room didn't work, windows will only open a fraction and it gets very warm. No-one came to clean the room or to replenish tea and coffee in the time I was there.
Kids were running amok, having races up and down the corridors on at least two floors, banging on all the doors. No-one on reception again and it took five attempts to get them on the phone.
Even on leaving, no-one on reception and kids running amok using the reception area as a football pitch, I came out of the lift and nearly broke my neck on a football as it shot out in front of me.
This hotel need closing down and a new team inserting. They are totally inept and leaderless. I have never been so glad to check out of a Premier Inn.
P.S. If you ignore this review and find yourself in room 331, have a look in the plughole, see if they've actually listened to feedback or not.

"Outdated Premier Inn. Not air conditioned"
This is one of the 'nasty' premier inns which is an old building that has been repurposed. The rooms are crying out for refurbishment.
Their is no air con here and when it was 30 plus outside the room was 28 degrees.
The walks / floor are paper thin here too.
Not a nice Premier Inn but Jake on reception was really helpful

"Disa"
Very very disappointed. Receptionist who greeted us was not friendly and had an attitude, she was also the barmaid who refused to serve the cocktails they had advertised and very rudely shouted no cocktails today, then proceeded to sit behind a partition and crunch through crisps. I have found the customer service really poor. I usually use Premier Inns but feel I need to write this review as I was so disappointed. There was no Aircon, which I thought was a standard nowadays, the window opened 2 inches and we had a room fan. It was very hot and uncomfortable. There were loud roadworks until very late, early in the morning too. I couldn't believe we had paid for such a poor experience. Car parking was £25 a day, the breakfast was OK. But the staff on one morning were using the hot food area as a staff room and I felt like I was intruding going in to get food, as they were stood about talking and messing around. I worked in hospitality years ago and it was all about the customers experience. This hotel felt like I shouldn't of been there

"Premier Inn should do Better!"
Our stay was not pre-booked and we walked in to ask for a room, reasonably priced at £59 but disappointed with the overall experience. Firstly parking is a nightmare as the area at the rear of the hotel is owned by a seperate company that have cctv in operation. You have 20 minutes to park check in and upload before you are liable to pay charges, bit of rush really to get everything done. Receptionist helpful and organised our room. Parking can be booked with there code but didn't suit as we were walk in clients, best place to park was on the hill near the hotel free from 10pm to 8am the next morning, otherwide £3 per hour. Room was ok, bed average but all other facilities acceptable. Its not really a Premier experience and more could be done to make sure someone is on reception, the hotel was a little understaffed. Checked out no one again on reception, rang the bell no one came. Left the key card and continued our journey. Its average at best as a rating.
