"Wonderful breakfast experience"
I stayed overnight at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious and very clean, and breakfast was good, but what really stood out was the exceptional service from Melissa.
I arrived for breakfast quite late, around 10:45am, close to finishing time, but Melissa immediately reassured me that there was no rush and that I could take my time. She was incredibly helpful, even offering to top up my milk because the one on the table had finished. She has such a warm and lovely spirit and genuinely made me feel welcome.
Excellent customer service from Melissa and wonderful service overall. She is definitely an asset to the hotel! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Average."
We stayed here previously 3 years ago and had a great experience so we came back as it was in a great location, very quiet, free parking; and good value for money. The staff have always been lovely and friendly hence why we came back. This time we stayed for two nights, our bathroom light was out, and a very noisy fan, and noticed dust around the window sills of the corridors etc. we didn’t want to make a deal out of it but there was nobody on reception to mention it. The breakfast was good, but for unlimited buffet style breakfast like it was previously, it was all made to order. We just felt restricted a bit and not being able to get our moneys worth of the ‘unlimited’ as we had to keep ordering with the waitress.

"August 2026 2night stay"
Location okay for what we needed it for
Car park included upon inputting the number plate on the tablet.
Rooms are extremely outdated and like a sauna. Could do with an update which includes air-con.
Value was brilliant but that could be simply cause they were no air-con but they did provide a fan which didn’t help the room whatsoever.
Atmosphere quite
Cleanliness 10/10
Service where do I start. Upon check in we was told they wasn’t aware we was arriving such early hours even though we had rang 10days prior to ensure we have this listed so
They were aware we were arriving at 5:30am. But sadly this wasn’t noted, lack of communication.
Then we went for our evening meal and service was standard and the food area was quite small and quiet but breakfast well we waited an 1hr 1/2 for our cooked breakfast and when it arrived we had been given four mushrooms, 2 bacon, 2sausages, 1 black pudding and no beans even though we asked for them, watery scrabbled egg. This was three cooked breakfasts. We understand you had one chef and was short staffed but we’ve been to other premier inns with same amount of staffing and they seemed to of managed.
You could hear the staff complaining on how busy it were and how another customer had requested a refund but apparently no one knew how todo a refund for that poor lady who had clearly waited longer than we had to the point she wanted a refund, wasn’t very professional speaking about a customer and their attitude around other customer's.
A good nights sleep grantee this wasn’t Unfornately as it were extremely uncomfortable with the heat and they gave us a winter duvet in summer 🙈. It was such a shame to be honest. I do wish we had asked for a full refund on all the booking and went elsewhere. We won’t be returning.

"Not as comfortable as it used to be"
We've stayed here a few times when visiting relatives. I think it's time for a refurb tbh. The rooms are in dire need for air con and a freshen up. I know there have been heatwaves this year, but our room was unbearable…..so hot and stuffy, with two fans on all day, it didn’t make any difference. We had the sun in our room all day. It didn’t seem very full at all as it was mid week, I just wish we had been put into a room where there was no sun….on saying that, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Melissa was very good at explaining to us how the ordering of breakfast works, as it’s not a buffet as in most P.Inns. She is really friendly, & a great asset to the hotel.
The outside is shocking, as TFI closed down 3 years ago, and the rubbish and skips don’t make it a nice entrance for your first stay at the hotel.
The curtains were in need of changing as one of them was hanging off, blinds would be a good idea. The rain shower wasn’t good for us, a hand held one on the side would be a good option, or just get rid of the bath altogether! No hand rail for the towel by the sink either. Please update the plug situation too. In this day and age, you need usb points but either side of the bed and by the desk. Complimentary trays cud be updated too. I didn’t make a hot drink, but I’m sure the milk pods had gone off in that heat…..Is it value for money….not really. Gone are the days of a cheap room if you book early, or a full refund if you aren’t happy with the lack of sleep……
