Manchester Old Trafford hotel

I wouldn’t stay here if fully booked. Only one chef and was told food would be at least 90 mins. Kids knocking doors at night. Over 25 mins to order a drink, with one staff member starting my order then walking out of the bar. I then had to wait for new staff member to finish my order. When asked for extra pillows, I was told that due to being fully booked there are no spare and that she would not know where they were if there were any. When booking in there was no staff member and so we used the self check in service but when we got to our room the key cards would not work. This happened to all the guests trying to use it when we were. A complaint was logged but you customer services department have told us that the issues were out of the premier inns hands and so not their responsibility. Surely ensuring that you have enough staff members / more than 1 chef when fully booked is standard practice.

Need staff visible. They hide and only appear when you ring the buzzer, which is itself hidden. Reception is no longer routinely manned. Restaurant was shut off for seating so it was standing room only in evening at the bar. Staff were rude especially the barmaid who said we should just leave the kids in the room and come for a drink ourselves and leave them to it as they weren't allowed in . Staff also can't take valid criticism some bloke in a suit just loitered looking smug. Woman hiding in reception office wouldn't accept that staff needed better training on Premier Inn policy or local licensing rules. Went to Hotel Football across the road for evening drinks instead we were made very welcome there in contrast to this Premier Inn. Rooms themselves typical spotless and comfortable let down by staff.

Would highly recommends this hotel, superb staff, clean and comfortable room, great food and very convenient location,. Manager went above and beyond and can’t thank him enough for making our stay pleasant and stress free. Our first trip to Manchester and would definitely pick this hotel again !,

We highly recommend this hotel after a great family trip. The staff went above and beyond by immediately noticing my father forgot his glasses in room and trying to phone us right after check-out. They even warmly offered to mail them back to us when we called the next day. Their incredible honesty and care made us very happy!

Lovely staff, as a Whitbread employee out of all the premier inns around Manchester I always gravitate towards coming to this one, well kept clean and tidy area, the view is a bonus and the staff are very friendly and lovely throughout the stay!
