"Very poor."
Visited with an international business colleague. First negative was that on booking, I noted that no breakfast prebooking was taken. Usually PI ask whether you wish to prebook continental or full English breakfast. I then found in tiny text that the hotel had no restaurant and breakfast was not served. I continued with the booking although I had some misgivings. I rang the hotel reception to enquire what offsite breakfast venues might be available nearby. I was advised by the receptionist (female with eastern European accent) that the hotel had printed details of suitable breakfast venues in the area.
On arrival at the hotel which was set back from the road and behind a Hickory Smokehouse restaurant, first impressions were not great. The hotel looked somewhat scruffy and unkempt. We entered a very small reception area and a male appeared (Harry?) to check us in. He was generally efficient but when I asked about the list of breakfast venues, he didn’t appear to know of its existence.
The hotel itself had a very dated interior and the cleanliness of the room was not the best. In the bathroom there were a couple of dark, extremely long hairs on top of the cistern.
When trying to check out the following morning, my colleague had a query as he had been given no invoice. He rang the bell in reception a number of times but nobody appeared to deal with his query. Eventually he gave up and we departed.
I could not seriously recommend this hotel for a number of reasons. 1) The run down nature of the building. 2) The complete absence of any kind of customer service or hospitality. 3) Unavailability of onsite breakfast. This might not be too problematic for leisure travellers but business travellers do not have time to be having to travel elsewhere for breakfast.
If I were to return to the area, I would undoubtedly look for an alternative hotel.

"Very pleasant stay"
Excellent overall with no complaints at all.
Great car park, close to the airport, very nice setting and a warm welcome from reception staff. The room was faultless in all respects.
Noise was not a problem and high a standard of cleanliness in the room
The hotel has a restaurant next door and Wilmslow is a very short drive.
Very pleasant experience with no complaints or concerns at all.

"Average"
Far from amenities, but quiet and peaceful surroundings, which could add value in mild weather conditions.
+
Comfy bed and pillow
Free tea and coffee bags at reception
Personnel willing to help
Nice bathroom
Peaceful and quiet

The heating plate is not enough for the room. The thermostat was switching off, so the heating plate could not reach the predefined temperature. Only when the bathroom door was shut, the situation was slightly better, but not satisfactory.
My room was not cleaned during the 5 nights of my stay, nor were towels changed. I put the sign on the door, but there was also a need to inform reception, which I did not know at first. Too complicated procedure, days passed, and the result was not a clean room, and the same towels. When I came on the first day, one towel had grease spots.

"Great for pre-flight stay, close to Manchester airport"
We stayed here for a night before flying from Manchester airport. It got our trip off to a great start.
The hotel is easy to find, on the outskirts of Wilmslow.
There is free parking (although the car park gets busy due to the Hickories next door)
We had a lovely meal in Hickories.
Our room was comfy and it was easy to get to Manchester airport early the next morning.
We had such a good experience that we have booked again for the night before our next holiday too.
